Does that article also explain how the human brain is so susceptible to Leftist propaganda?

Just in case the team here haven’t seen them already:

Lord Pearson castigated for saying that Islam might have something to do with the current spate of terrorism:

Note the knee-jerk response from the Muslim MPs – there’s nothing like that in the Koran!

A bit in the Mail comparing militarised police forces around the world with the poor defenceless British bobby.

I fear that this is the start of a campaign to militarise the British police, just like the Merkins have recently done, and already exists in most European lands. Might be further preparation to invite the EuroGenFor in to quell unrest in Britain soon.

Its 0300 here, Yokel. While having a cigarette and a couple of coffees, I spotted the comment in moderation.
And thanks for some great links.

Sorry, I hadn’t realised that the blog time was still on West Island standard time. I had thought you had “repatriated” it. My earlier comment unwarranted and apologised for.

And before we settle down to the beer that our host has kindly laid on, how about a bit of ancient history: Duncan Campbell in 1999:

Time to resurrect DOS or Windows 3.1 methinks.
I would not be too surprised to find Linus equally contaminated, seeing how long some of the recent bug finds had been present before being spotted.

Hmmmm………it also looks like later generation CPUs themselves may incorporate what is effectively a trapdoor:
‘Fernandez believes that NSA’s built-in loophole can be turned round against the snoopers. The NSA key inside CAPI can be replaced by your own key, and used to sign cryptographic security modules from overseas or unauthorised third parties, unapproved by Microsoft or the NSA. This is exactly what the US government has been trying to prevent. A demonstration “how to do it” program that replaces the NSA key can be found on Cryptonym’s website.

According to one leading US cryptographer, the IT world should be thankful that the subversion of Windows by NSA has come to light before the arrival of CPUs that handles encrypted instruction sets. These would make the type of discoveries made this month impossible. “Had the next-generation CPU’s with encrypted instruction sets already been deployed, we would have never found out about NSAKEY.”

      • Ronbo says:

I wonder why with all this NSA spying of everyone in the world going on, and thus knowing the secrets and dastardly plans of all our enemies and friends, America still gets gob smacked up the side of the head with all sorts of nasty surprises :?:

I would suggest we pull the funding out of NSA…The American taxpayers would save billions and be just as well defended.

Our brains cannot handle the moon? We would have no brains to speak of were it not for the moon. Just think about how life in the swamp, the soup of life which spawned us, became self aware. The moon, that’s wot dunnit. Twentyeight day cycles coinciding or causing menstrual cycles, regular eclipses. Eclipses being total because of the perfect fit of the moon betwixt our world and the sun, size and distance and shape. Looking to the night sky gave us a sense of wonderment. The only thing I can’t work out is why the same moon didn’t make us the same. G’night.

And then a most awful thing
occurred, too, a couple of nights after
Krouse had been removed to the
solitary cell. Some convict in one of
the sections suddenly climbed up on
to his stool and put his mouth as near
to the bars as he could, and he started
howling like a dog. Or a wolf. Or a
hyena. But mostly, I think, it was like
a dog. That was the first time some-
thing of that description had happen-
ed during the years I was in prison.
So I got terrified: not at the man’s
doglike howling, but at what follow-
    ed. Because, almost immediately
afterwards, a convict in another cell
took up that howl. Then another
convict joined in. Before long there
    were several scores of convicts,
standing on their stools and getting
their mouth as near the bars as
possible, emitting the weirdest sort of
    sounds into the night.

More and more convicts joined in.
And yet more and more. It was a most
contagious kind of thing. The noise
each convict made, while it differed
from the sounds emitted by his neigh-
bour, nevertheless had one thing in
    common with this general howling,
and that was that it had a warm
animal ring: but it wasn’t so much
like an animal on heat as like an
animal dying – or an animal smelling
the stink of death. I know I didn’t join
in with this general howling. I pulled
the blankets over my head and lay on
the concrete floor of my cage and
shivered. I was very frightened, that
    night.

Hours later, when the howling was
    still going on, spasmodically,
throughout the prison, I noticed .a
pale refulgence at the barred cell-
window which served three of the
cages. I recognised that gleam. I had
worked it out month after month. So I
knew what that pale light was, now.
In a few day’s time it wouldn’t show
itself at all. Not through that barred
    aperture, anyway.

    It was the full moon…

This from a book “Cold Stone Jug” by Herman Charles Bosman.
His account of his period in prison.

My beloved worked in A&E departments for years, and it was common knowledge that during the full moon the number of crazies and weird cases increased.

    • mawm says:

I saw Patrick Mynhardt do an adaption of “Cold Stone Jug” in little theatre in Rosebank many years ago. Brilliant – both the writing and the acting. Bosman was on death row for killing his brother but was later pardoned.

I have the complete works of Bosman. My favourite has to be “Under the Withaak” – So funny and so sad. Most of the characters in his Groot Marico stories were real people.

There is a lot of talk about going after the media with a length of hemp rope. In a hypothetical revolution, that would be a tactically sound move. Get them too scared to produce their propaganda. As we know, control of propaganda is a powerful weapon. No flashy beheadings or ‘necklacing’ . Just quiet, methodical assassination. You can bet the news will travel about their circles at light speed
, regardless of any official embargoes.
