I am disturbed that Goldstein saw the necessity to apologize. The essence of reading law is to instill objectivity in the minds of would-be lawyers. The NZ Law Society’s mantra on its crest is “Be Just, Fear Not” which requires a test Goldstein has failed. What he is permitting to continue is the individual prejudices of the students. Fail!
Absolutely. The apology is as bad as the “offended” students. Worse, really.
