  1. Ronbo says:

I agree with Bill, however, the barbarianism is not new to our era -it’s right out of the Nazi academic playbook of the 1930s, who also created “martyrs” like Horst Wessel to advance the Nazi cause.

In fact, the Progressive putsch against public education in general is a replay of the Nazi conquest of German Academia in the 1920s and 30s.

Of course, we haven’t (as yet!) had the traditional totalitarian burning of non-PC books on the campus, but other than that, the Progressive coup against objective education in America has many ominous parallels with the Nazi takeover and has been just as successful.

    • GW says:

Oh, this barbarism is as old as leftism itself. Exponentially older than that, even, but the left are the only ones who have made it part of their SOP since the socialist movement was born in the French Revolution. The Enlightenment, humanity’s golden age, was defined by an unrelenting search for objective truth. The Enlightenment ended with the French Revolution, to be replaced by subjective truth, where truth is now judged not on whether it is based on objective fact, but whether it advanced the ideological cause.

It’s Christmas Eve in America and like bad money driving good money out of circulation, bad news drive good news to the last page of the newspaper.

In this case my reference is to what many experts believe is the Waterloo of the American Democrat Party in the mid term 2014 election. How bad a defeat? Today the Deep South has not one Democrat Senator. In the House, the Republican Party holds the largest majority since 1929. In the Heartland of America, upwards of 35 states are controlled, at least in part, by the Republican Party. A huge backbench of young Democrats have been thrown out of office and only the ancient ones with safe seats survived the electoral holocaust.

This should be the leading story of the year: A vast Progressive Ruling Class electoral army – with a black Napoleon of politics at its head, is in head long retreat from the high tide of “Moscow” thru the snows of December, while a vast patriot army marches along both flanks and in the rear, like the Cossacks of the old Russian Imperial Party.

Of course, this reality is hidden in the “fog of war” and on the back pages of the Lamestream Media newspapers, who focus on the ruthless and desperate counter attacks made by a defeated enemy….

No, it’s not Waterloo yet and many hard fought battles remain – maybe the hardest lay yet before us – but I think the tide has turned in America – and not only in America – but also in Britain, France, Germany and Australia :!:

Excellent article by an Objectivist philosopher.

Ronbo, on one level I agree with your sentiments, and indeed I think the Democratic Party, having served its purpose, is in its closing days. However…

I’ll celebrate when the Republican Party ceases to pass legislation that funds EVERY SINGLE CENT of the Obama agenda – amnesty, Obamacare, the massive, bloated federal government including all those agencies which attack the American citizen – and when more the 12 Republican Senators vote alongside Ted Cruz and Mike Lee on a point of order regarding Obama’s shredding of the Constitution, instead of whining about working on a Saturday.

The Democratic Party may be terminally ill, but with Republicans like McConnell, Boehner Scalise, McCain, Cochrane and others, cheered on by the Chamber of Cronyism, Fox News and others, who needs Democrats?

And yes, I agree it’s a very good thing that the Republicans now control so many State Houses and Governerships. So, where’s the Article V Convention? Why are so many States (including Texas, FFS) still pushing back on it?

P.S. Merry Christmas, everyone at Crusader Rabbit.

  3. Alan says:

The Republican party remains splintered into several factions. Until there is some unity and common purpose there will be no dagger thrust into the heart of the Democrats. Dysfunctional areas of the Republicans are the likes of Rand Paul echoing some of the policies of the fraudulent Obama.

    • Ronbo says:

Either the Tea Party Movement takes over the GOP, or patriots will form another republican party…It happened in 1854 when the Whig Party went belly up over the issue of slavery.

I would say because nearly all the Republican backbenchers are of the TPM, when the current herd of RINOS go to the bone yard, they won’t be replaced.

        Here’s hoping.
