Well, it’s a damn cool lamp, Darin. That gauge would probably be worth half that here, if you could find one.
Looks great! Well done!
Thanks, Tranquil.
Tres chic.
I just pulled 2 hours of old mickey mouse cartoons off of youtube for my 3 year old.
Mickey mistakes a parrot for a home intruder. Solution? He yanks his double barrel shotgun off of the wall and shoots at anything that moves.
The best part? My boy is absolutely spellbound. I guess he’s not going back to that sterile, computer animated bullshit any time soon.
Great stuff!!
Awesome! Don’t forget Popeye!
I’m Popeye the Sailor man,I’m Popeye the Sailor man,
I’m strong to the finish cause I eats me Spinach,
I’m Popeye the Sailor man!
If you’re time poor then watch from 3:15. Two ISIS fighters are attempting to retreat to an MRAP after their own vehicle was destroyed.
Then, if you like big explosions jump to 6:50. Interesting tactic. It appears that they’ve planted a small IED a hundred meters or so in front of a big one. The fast moving vehicle hits the smaller one and then (i suppose) loses the ability to detect and negotiate the larger one that it skates toward.
Or maybe I’m just reading too much in to it.
No, I don’t think you are, Wombat, if that’s what it is. Good technique, and not new.
The lamp is awesome! I love repurposed things like that. you may not realize it or agree with it, but you’ve created a memory, an heirloom which will serve as a memory of you forever.
Thanks, Kirls. It’ll probably end up being given away to somebody though.
Dunno KG. It wouldn’t make the Conde Nast Fab. Rich Interiors Mag. but then again, despite it being neither retro, metro, nor deco, it is certainly coolo.
The copper work isn’t as wonky as it looks – something about the way the light catches it.
Is it still able to mix a cocktail? Might be just the thing before you get out of bed in the mornings?
Yeah, Gecko would love the sound of grinding ice cubes at 3am, Cad.

She may think you’re up for some love-making. This could be a winner all-round?
Cool!
People are paying crazy money for stuff like that.
I don’t think I’d have the nerve to ask money for it, Oswald.
Cool!That would fetch probably $500 on Ebay,no seriously……..do you see $1995.00 here?

With 308 people watching it,somebody will bite.

In the 1940s Disney did at least one cartoon of Donald Duck ridiculing Hitler. My sons loved it only a few years ago.
I’m always amazed by the range of emotion the characters portray in these old cartoons.
The new crap is stuck on the “xanax” setting all day every day.
Sure is. I can’t be bothered with it.
Peshmerga forces putting hurt on some bad guys.
