Open house

How’s this for unintended consequences:
‘Terrorists Flood Australia With Cheap Cigarettes, Plain Packaging Fuels Industry
and:
‘White House Won’t Reveal Who Attended Obama’s Secret Meeting With Muslim Leaders’
Well, we know the name of one muslim leader, at least…
And speaking of unintended consequences, please avoid running over mattresses in your car. (Thanks, Darin)

  1. Sen. Rand Paul will oppose—very publicly—the nomination of U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch to replace Eric Holder as Attorney General of the United States.
….Paul asked the team about Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) question during Lynch’s Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing about whether she’d oppose using a drone to kill an American citizen on American soil.
When Paul heard about her non-answer—she wouldn’t commit that the federal government does not have such authority—he was incredulous…’

    • “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is”. Bill Clinton.
It’s the leftist way, Michael.
Remember, Hillary came under fire in Bosnia or somewhere…..
On her Benghazi lies: “at this stage, what does it matter”
      etc etc etc ad nauseum.

      • Michael in Nelson, Leftist pigs like “Ly’ng Williams” – like good Marxists everywhere – believe the end justifies the means; therefore, if you think lying about a combat experience advances the Leftist agenda, YOU LIE :!:

I ceased being shocked sometime in 1980s concerning Leftist lies when I finally became aware that the Left were traitors and not loyal opposition…If one of them says, “the sky is blue,” I assume it’s a falsehood until I verify the statement.

    • I think one needs to take a good hard look at the artist’s, his wife’s and the architect’s connections with members of the Auckland City council. This smells of progressive money for mates corruption.

  2. Darin, you hideous misogynist. The mattress situation is an easy mistake to make. Have we not all driven miles with metal wrapped around our engine parts?

  3. Just finished reading a great book:” Science Left Behind” Alex Berezow and Hnak Campbell. These two really dislike progressives! There descriptions of how Progressives have essentially left all rational thought behind in their lunatic quest for pseudo science (Climate change, anti-vaccination) and myths.

Also about a 1/3 of way through Huckleberry Finn for about the dozenth time. Hemingway claimed it was the greatest American novel, as he construed the raft as the USA floating free of Mother Europe. (Never forget Hemingway if for no other reason the 1980s feminazis hated him for his testosterone.)

  4. Great win in the Wellington Sevens by a young NZ team – they beat England 27-21 in the final. It was 27-7 until late in the game when England scored two consolation tries.

With four players making their debuts this weekend that’s a really good effort by the team. This game was the only one in the tournament in which NZ conceded more than one try.

Next tournament – 13-15 Feb, Las Vegas.

    • I don’t follow any sport nowadays, Tranquil. I used to be keenly interested in Americas Cup races, but now it seems to lack the subtlety and connection with “real” sailing the old 12 Metre races had.
