Open house

NZ Herald headline this morning. From the lefty scum at AP, of course:
Hard-right Sen. Cruz 1st to announce presidential candidacy’
Odd, isn’t it, how we never see anybody in politics described as “hard left” by the MSM?  (And I don’t recall the Herald ever publishing a headline from a conservative source.)

I wonder if Revolution 2.0 has discovered its leader :?:

It’s going to take a revolution to get rid of the Progressives – I don’t think elections will do the trick anymore….

I trust the Senator understands that politics in America have become a death sport.

Antibiotics fix my back pain, but there’s a snag…almost no GP will prescribe them for that purpose.

It’s not the prettiest option, but animal meds are often the same as human meds, though likely with a bit less quality control.

For a while now I’ve been considering the possibility of getting a degree in veterinary medicine. The pay/study ratio is crap but you’d be able to hoard reasonably effective medicines on the cheap with little to no government interference and a lot of the training crosses over into human medicine.

Reasonably speaking, a practicing vet of five years would probably also be better equipped to do battlefield surgery than an MD who’s been doling out aspirin over the same period of time.

A Veterinarian might be a better option than a people doc. After all the vet has to actually pay attention and figure out what’s wrong since the patient an’t just tell him

            Good idea, Wombat.

I see Lee Kuan Yew has died.

I’ve had an interest in Singapore for a while, especially regarding its health system (which seems to be very efficient and runs at low cost to the taxpayer from what I can tell).
    From Wikipedia –
“Public hospitals in Singapore have autonomy in their management decisions, and compete for patients. A subsidy scheme exists for those on low income. In 2008, 32% of healthcare was funded by the government. It accounts for approximately 3.5% of Singapore’s GDP.”

That seems pretty good to me.

So – what do people think of Singapore and of Lee Kuan Yew? Keen to see your thoughts.

The thing is, Cruz’s first ad…. was done all in Spanish….

Can’t have Luis Gutierrez and Jorge Ramos telling all the Hispanics to vote for an evil, drunken old lesbian without at least trying to meet them where they live.

It doesn’t matter who decides to run on the Republican side. Any worthwhile candidate will be kneecapped by the GOP “leadership”.
Only Dem-Lite is acceptable to them and the media.

‘Even murderers more popular than Obama

Whether it’s the earnest Josiah Bartlet from The West Wing or the manipulative Frank Underwood in House of Cards, Americans prefer television presidents to their real-life POTUS, President Barack “No Drama” Obama.
A Reuters-Ipsos poll taken this month found 54 per cent of Americans held an unfavorable opinion of Obama, known for his cool and cautious presidential style, while 46 per cent were favourable…’
