        I think it is also responsible for what’s known as”visualization”.I used to play a good bit of Baseball when I was in school,I was a lousy hitter until the first time I took a swing and really connected resulting in a home run.I remembered what that felt like and ever since then before taking the plate I could “visualise”and remember exactly what that felt like and repeat it nearly every time at bat.

    I’ve written on this before at my blog. Science politicized is Scientism. It serves no good but the whims of scoundrels.

    Short history lesson.

    My first encounter with Scientism was when I discovered in the 1970s that DuPont was funding research into exposing the dangers of the simple Freons. (I later came to suspect that they were early on planning for when their patent run out with new patented chlorofluorocarbons they wanted to make money on and they didn’t want cheap competition from sellers of their old products).

    Fast forward to Feb 1992 when one of three NASA scientists claimed (given wide exposure over the bewildered and ignored objections of his colleagues) that an 0zone hole appeared over New England. That then led to sudden push for an American ban. Pushed in the Senate by Gore, in the House by Gingrich, and signed by GHWBush in March 1992. In May 1992 the “error” was revealed, but the damage to free trade and science and NASA was already entrenched.

    From that the bastards grew more bold. We know of CAGW and Climate Gate being ignored by SSM. And now we have this little story after all the pushing to shut-down ideas disapproving of homosexual “marriage” that were made to appear unpopular by this study. Now with all the overturned laws in the last few months: fait accompli.

    Egad. What more proof is needed that the institution called science is as white-anted as every other Western institution?

        The young minds that are corrupted is a sin for starters, but much more deadly in the long run.

        I forgot where I read it, but one man noted, ‘Well, there is no isolated Constantinople to retain any remnants of lost knowledge this time.’

        That was premised following the question “After the utter destruction that seems looming, how long the coming dark ages? ”

        I figured the crusaders would want to ponder that.

          I recall the book “Lucifer’s Hammer”, where one of the characters had a large number of civilisational-reboot books that he took the time to preserve and hide, even though time was (at that stage) of the essence.

      Setup to a World of Provocation.

      In June the Supreme Court is due to rule on the constitutionality of limiting marriage to one man and one woman.

      Imagine that the majority opinion rules in favor of the heterophobes. And does it citing the original study above as if the study had not been disavowed by its author.

      Then watch the SSM not mention that the study had been admitted to be a fraud. What would have been a bombshell story about high rank incompetence had a conservative cause won — will be ignored.

      Given the total wrongness promulgated I think it would be the junta’s next step over the line, of the fashion with all other incremental affronts the Obamunists and his GOP traitors have already done. Of course, the object of SSM and the establishment frauds would be to taunt the traditionalist Right one.more.time. Goading evermore.

      End of my whimsical fantasy. For now.
