I am constantly taken aback nowadays at how many people are privately disgusted but publicly compliant.

We have been marginalized by the media and academics or so longas the article says many people’s notion of traditional values and basic fact have been turned upside down.

I met a Kiwi the other day who launched (with no apparent reason that I could discern) into a diatribe against Americans. He trotted out the usual socialist shit about “the further South you go the thicker they are, God-botherers and the further East the more intelligent and civilized Americans are”.
I bit back. Not hard by my standards, but very hard indeed by Kiwi’s standards and afterwards I felt bad about it, since at the time I was with somebody I like and admire and on his property. Embarrassing him was the last thing I wanted to do.
But thinking further about it, I don’t feel bad at all. It’s time these socialist indoctrinated assholes who spout such crap met some resistance to it and some righteous anger.
The cunt would be speaking Japanese today if it weren’t for the people he so readily derides. That’s if his forbears would have even survived.

I don’t hold back anymore either unless it’s a customer,but even then I can only take so much.One the other day called me to go over to his plant to calibrate some lab equipment and take measurements for some parts he needs made.
I’ve always admired the guy,he and his partner are real pull yourself up types and fairly knowledgeable.I walk into the lab and meet up with his two lab technicians and set to work.In walks the owner and immediately he goes into a diatribe and starts lecturing me about how I need to lose some weight “if I want to live to age 50”.I readily admit I need to lose a few,but I damn sure don’t need to be lectured and ridiculed about in front of two people I’m also friends with.
I held my tongue on that one since I was there partially representing my employer and the two lab techs were embarrassed no end,but if the subject ever comes up again I made it known that would be the last time I darken the door at that place.

I took a leave from Nam in 1970 to visit a dear friend in Auckland. We met a wealthy English woman who was a friend of my friend. She didn’t like Americans and went on about the pollution we loosed on the world and how American footballers were pussies for wearing helmets whereas rugby players, etc., etc. I don’t recall that she exactly used the word “pussies” but that was the gist of it.
Not a left wing troll to my knowledge and her hostility seemed to come from a different place familiar perhaps only to upper class or would be upper class British women. I was taken aback by her hostility and let it pass, of course. Heck, I was just surprised. I guess I was a stand in for all that is rotten in America.
When it’s lefty delusion these days I don’t have any patience. It’s not necessary to roll around in the dirt but the divide seems so great that I just can’t see the other side as being a legit take on reality. I don’t for a moment believe I have any kind of a lock on what reality is but I think leftist thinking (never all that lucid) is today just fracking nuts.
Consider two propositions: (1) there is “structural racism” in America and (2) open borders are insane. Spend 24 hours reading random articles on the internet. Now. Which one makes more sense? And which of the two is the left guaranteed to choose?

On a side note I had experience with Brit snobbery while doing contract work for a well known multinational at the space center near here.By and large most of the Brits on the job were pleasant,eager to share knowledge and abilities and generally wide eyed at their first experience stateside.
We also had Canadians on the job and all of the Canucks to a man where top notch people and much more acclimated to American life.
There was this one Brit however who was still stuck in the early 18th century and never missed an opportunity to bash.I just blew him off as pug ignorant,but one Canadian took him to task when he was knocking American technology.He said “Sod off you dumb Brit bastard,no Limey has ever made it to the Moon,not even Pink Floyd”
Same mentality, it seems. My dad worked with Canadians, Brits, S. Africans, Afrikaans, and Germans. All were pleasant and memorable people.
There is a segment of upper class British society that thinks Americans are unwashed rubes. It’s been a rare phenomenon in my experience but then I don’t move in those circles.
I find it very interesting that not one anti-American I have ever met has actually lived and worked among Americans.

It’s an anything goes mindset.
I know a couple of young women at work who are partnered and have had children. They are extremely nice people but I can see that they want to be married but it doesn’t look like it’s on the horizon. I’m coming at this from a non-religious viewpoint to be as impartial as I can but I always think to myself were you not worthy of marrying before you had a child? I have seen men also get caught out this way.
Have sex if you want but I think that smart women get the ring. By being married before bringing forth an innocent life there is at least the public declaration/intention to start off on the right foot even if things do sour. If I were to raise this topic even gently I’d deeply offend them and probably get told off but think the offence may come from the viewpoint of having to have a child first before being thrown the bone if an engagement ring.
If someone has a different view to mine, OK, but often as not they miss the point of what a person is trying to say to them. For example, when the lady from the prison service refused to sit down the back at the marae she was harangued by Maori and the media for pointing out sexism being allowed because of culture.
The same can be said for islam which claims to be last in religion and the word of God and they make sure everyone knows about it, conveniently forgetting they are not God. They are stealing God’s role to be the final judge as no-one knows the exact life of another, but again if you were to point this out you’d be labelled blasphemous and killed again because of a culture that has calcified in the Dark Ages.
