‘NOAA Fiddles With Climate Data To Erase The 15-Year Global Warming ‘Hiatus’
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year “pause” in global warming: They “adjusted” the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record.
…To increase the rate in warming, NOAA scientists put more weight on certain ocean buoy arrays, adjusted ship-based temperature readings upward, and slightly raised land-based temperatures as well…’     Link

    I was reading somewhere just the other day re the ARGO buoys that the same NOAA scientists didn’t like the early result sets.

    Apparently many buoys were reporting more cooling than the models predicted and scientists required. Something that has been proven by various means over decade but still doesn’t fit the ‘settled science’ needed to fund their crooked result sets.

    So what did they do? They didn’t fiddle the datasets but physically culled the ‘cold’ buoys!

    The sad thing is that these people don’t even know they are lying. They are convinced they are correct- therefore the results must be wrong. It is a short journey to convince themselves that their adjustments are perfectly legitimate.

    I see this sort of delusional bias in medicine all the time. Unfortunately, the media are completely clueless when it comes to science and they will accept any claptrap from a scientist as long as it makes good copy. Especially if it accords with their world view.

    Assume all science reporting to be garbage, you will seldom be wrong.

      But it’s a sad day for science when grants and political considerations can so distort the process and the output, MacD.
      Surely, it wasn’t always this bad?

            Thanks KG, remember Griff on kiwiblog who’s been pushing climate change. And cannot get it through his thick head, that the money we’re spending isn’t doing a damn thing to help the environment. Well this is how Kea put it:

            You seem to take a keen interest in the weather, how long do you reckon this cold snap will last and are we in for another record winter like the series of frigid winters in the Northern Hemisphere ?

            Given the massive increases in the Antarctic ice sheet, I reckon we should be able to see it from the Sky Tower this winter.

            So there you have it bloody freezing is exactly the way Kea put it. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks it is an absolute waste of money.

              Of course it is, Warren. Adelaide – my old home town – had the coldest start to winter this year in thirty years.
              And how about the record cold temperatures across the U.S. last winter?

                Well KG, this might explain why the elitists of the movement are pushing so hard. Every 30 years the pendulum goes from global cooling to global warming. Global cooling is about to start, or has just started. So if they don’t convince people now, they won’t convince them later on.

                Now of course the elitists have pawns who think they are doing something for the community. Its only when truth hits them in the face that they realise they are working for the father of lies, and have sold their soul for food, if they don’t repent. So you have idiots who are the pawns, and the smart people are the those who tell lies to the idiots.

    NOAA and NAVOCEANO both have facilities near me.They build,launch and recover buoys all over the world,not just in US waters. In many areas they do great science and offer up a tremendous service to the world over.

    That said,they are also both government agencies and by that metric both suffer the same problem.Too many people working at those agencies who are either climbing the political ladder or are afraid of reprisals if they don’t go along to get along.The same story repeats all across the west.
