NZ Herald headline:
‘Heartbreaking’ lack of women earning top pay
No women are in charge of any of the top NZ companies in the Herald’s executive pay survey, with top businesswomen describing it as ‘heartbreaking’ and ‘a ‘ regression’…’

I have also noted that they are shockingly under represented in dirty and dangerous jobs. 94% of workplace deaths are male. Still want parity?

    • KG says:

No, they want the safe, high paying jobs that allow them to be supermommy and boss men around.
And if women are so effing all-fired smart, why don’t they out-think those awful men who are keeping them down and work out ways to grab the top jobs?
Whenever I ask some loudmouth feminist why no woman ever composed a great symphony or designed a great bridge etc the answer is always the same – “because they weren’t allowed to”.
Well, if they’re so smart and talented, allowed to wouldn’t mean a damn thing.

  2. Ronbo says:

….and I notice the NZ Herald doesn’t have any top paid women, heh?

Another case of Leftard hypocrites whining over their beer…

    • KG says:

Yet again, Ronbo, hypocrisy defines the left.

    • The Gantt Guy says:

“Other high profile female chief executives, such as NZME. boss Jane Hastings and Pumpkin Patch’s Di Humphries, don’t feature in the survey because their companies are not on the NZX 50 index.

The Herald is owned by NZME. Their chief is a woman. It’s just she hasn’t grown the company to be one of NZ’s largest 50.

I was driving down the state highway 1 the other day and i felt quite sickened how all those high paid road workers sitting in their massive trucks in their $400.00 high viz uniforms , earning 50.000 each a year had no women cone shufflers in their midst.Where are the women??http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

Thinking about that I have never see a female as part of an Asphalt laying crew.Could it be the smell, the 350* Asphalt or that’s is a hot, dirty thankless job?http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

So, “gender pay disparity” is a concern for Hamish Fletcher, unless he was told to write the article upon pain of unemployment. But he doesn’t bother to practice some objective investigative journalism, to discover who the “women running amazing businesses” are, or to list the companies not on the NZX50 index that have women CEO’s. • Ronbo says:

It all goes back to Ye Olde Timey Marxism of the late 19th century that believed men and women were the same…okay, different plumbing, of course, and the child bearing abilities that only women can perform. Yes, yes, a few small details like that – but on the whole, the Marxists believed, women and men are the same.

THEREFORE, in the workplace they should EARN exactly the same – never mind the fact that women are poorly equipped physically to be high paid construction workers.

Once again the Marxist goes against NATURE and achieves the same pathetic results.

      • Robertv says:

‘THEREFORE, in the workplace they should EARN exactly the same’ for the same work.

The logic would be that if women do the same work for less money you would only contract women.

  5. Darin says:

Hmmm…I wonder if the women at the NZ Herald get paid parity?Shouldn’t Mr Fletcher do the equitable thing and give part of his salary to his female coworkers, you know out of fairness?

Lefties, always harping on about what other people get paid. Here’s an idea, how about they start their own companies and then they can pay people what they want?
