49 people shot, and 28 killed, in deer-hunting accidents over the past 24 years? There have probably been as many – maybe more – killed bushwalking and playing sports over the same period.
It looks like NZ has received its marching orders from the Leftist Global Cabal to ban guns, because that’s all we are hearing here in America.
The reason they want guns banned is in order to enact full blown totalitarianism.
They have never forgotten that the American Revolution started because of a gun grab.
It’s not just about disarming the peasants.
It’s about systematically dismantling the people you hate, one part of them at a time.
It’s become a bit last century to simply round up your political opponents and dump them all in a mass grave.
So why not outlaw everything that makes them what they are and content yourself with having created a walking husk of an opponent that still exists on paper but not in reality.
Get rid of hunting, fishing and trapping. 4WDing. Contact sports. Etc. Ect.

p.s. If all hunting become illegal then we might start getting a bit more creative with where and what we choose to hunt.

While I agree with the view expressed what the heck happened to basic gun safety? Being out in the dark in a group when you don’t know where the others are and pop a round off seems somewhat risqué to me.
I have keen hunting mates that won’t hunt during the roar because of the trigger happy idiots prancing about dressed like they are in the SAS.
I’m not the slightest bit concerned about the “safety” issue Brown.
In the same period dozens – probably more than a hundred – people have drowned.
