    Some are arguing ‘What if a man is more qualified? or ‘What if there are more women than men in the list, are you going to promote a man over a woman?’ I don’t see as it would make any difference, they are all ignorant of finance, science, social norms and morality.

    “On Monday, the California Senate unanimously passed an equal pay bill with the strongest measures aimed at closing the gender wage gap in the country. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) has said that he’ll sign it into law.

    The bill has a number of provisions, but the piece that stands out the most is one that requires employers to pay men and women the same for “substantially similar work,” not just the exact same job, unless differences are based on productivity, merit, and/or seniority.”

    This reduces virtually all employee wages to a determination of how much political pull they have. The government will now decide who is “productive” who has “merit” and what “seniority” means. All that fake “equal wage for equal work” stuff has paid off for what the feminists really want – professional wages for non professional work enforced by government edict.

      Catalonia will be the test case for how a modern regime meets secession in the 21st century.

      From the article: Thursday’s hearing was part of a pre-trial to determine whether (Catalan President Artur) Mas should be formally tried. He was indicted by the state prospector last month on preliminary charges of disobedience, abuse of authority and usurping authority.

      Yeah, it turns out there’s nothing in Spain’s constitution that provides for the lifters to secede from the company of the leaners. Let’s see what force can be brought to bear in order to force them to go down with the ship.
