Would anyone vote for the GOPe candidate after such a blatant fix? Then again they probably don’t care. For the GOPe even Clinton II would be preferable to The Donald, or even Cruz for that matter.
A depressing thought….
If he isn’t assassinated – a very real threat for Trump – he will be elected president.
In fact, if the GOP (e) pulls crap like a “Brokered Convention” – Trump simply runs as an independent, or as a third party candidate.
In fact, such a move by the Hated Class would increase Trump’s victory margin.
…and if Trump is assassinated there will be someone standing next to him and waving his bloody shirt….or one of sons…or his wife.
WE THE PEOPLE WILL HAVE OUR MAN IN 2016 OR REVOLUTION!!!

This is why Trump never ruled out running as an independent, and why they were so desperate in the early runnings to force him into making such a pledge.
Trump knows he’ll never win as an independent. He also knows that if he runs as one the Republicans will most certainly lose.
Mutually assured destruction. A political cold war.
My take is that Trump’s biggest mistake was not to pledge against running as an independent “if it’s the will of the people”, or “if one of these guys beats me fair and square”, or something to that effect.
In any case, a Trump presidency or even a Trump nomination is not the be all and end all of America. It’s simply the patriots of the USA saying “this is your last chance to turn this ship around peacefully.”
