  1. I would like someone explain to me why petrol prices in the South Island are virtually the same from one end to the other and usually $.20/l more than outlets in Auckland.

    • I have no idea why, Michael. So many NZ prices are a scandal, and all we get is more calls by retailers for internet sales to be taxed! http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

      • Long time ago, when I was studying for business qualifications, I was taught that there was only one “right price” for anything, and that was the price the market was prepared to bear. Such was the justification for the more money than sense prices demanded by the fashion houses, etc. It is entirely unrelated to the cost (or cheapness) of production and distribution. Those affect availability.

Prices will not come down until people are prepared to do without.

        • Boatie products are usually ridiculously priced just because of the “marine” label; they are even worse in NZ. Now I buy on line to the chagrin of the local retailers who claim we get the warranty cover by buying from them. Ha ha, as if that is worth the paper it is written on.

I find that NZ labour costs are extremely high and the number of hours worked gets “padded” – it is very hard to challenge them unless you have been standing over the person counting the number worked.

So, I now let an organisation know that they have ripped me off and that I’m off to another and that I’ll let my friends and colleagues know about them. Unfortunately it is usually to some drone who has been pushed by management to pad the bill. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

    • I thought so too, until the Daily Caller in the US started running stories just about every week on female teachers getting intimate with their students.

      • Yup,I’ve always believed that women are fully responsible for or the cause of 50% of the vice and sin in this world.

  2. Darin, there is a much better deal in West (By God!) Virginia.

A niggardly $1 million will get you a $200 million former Navy town in wild and wonderful West Virginia!

    http://www.bizjournals.com/washington/breaking_ground/2016/02/got-1-million-the-gsa-is-selling-a-town-three.html

Imagine: You buy the town and its your PRIVATE property and if you’re an old cuss like me you would declare it a free market/free trade/guns welcome sanctuary city for America’s endangered patriots, Christians, whites, constitutionalists, stalwart Republicans and others of the opposition to the Evil Empire of Washington, D.C.

The fence line and other security features that limit access to “Ronbo’s Gulch” would be guarded by the well trained and armed Patriot Militia. The town would have its own script money that would be backed by gold or silver. The residents of the town would be limited only those who could pass strict vetting: Muslims, Leftists, Democrats and free loaders would be welcome; however, endangered Patriots and Nationalists from any quarter of the globe would be welcome.

Of course, it won’t happen, but I can dream as well as Ayn Rand did when she created “Galt’s Gulch” in “Atlas Shrugged.”

    • OOPS! “Muslims, Leftists, Democrats and free loaders would NOT be welcome…” I meant to say.

  3. When I used to work, as opposed to looking after Mum, we sent HP cartridges for hi-res poster printers off to a third party for refills. Then HP offered us a deal, free refills. For a while. Then they put the story around that some printers compromised colour veracity with dodgy refills. Then the price went back to sky high. I managed to do some fucking and weaving to get the best of both worlds. It’s all in the RIP, and the pre press man’s nous. I now knock up a lovely strawberry Complain (4 sachets for £3).

  4. Prove that the free market is the only system that works .

Because plastic surgery is not regulated by the state there are no shortages in that sector.

    • http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_negative.gif don’t know why women ruin their looks with plastic surgery.

Pay attention lefty women,in your socialist paradise most conveniences are regulated out of existence. There is no such thing as a “free” tampon.

      • Speaking as one whose primary medical is the VA system – I can say – without fear of contradiction – it work well for me…..

2007 Heart Attack in Orlando, Florida – paramedics take me to the near-by ORMC (Orlando Regional Medical Center) which has one of the best heart care medical team and equipment in the world. The VA approves, as they did not have a VA hospital in Orlando and my condition was too serious for a transfer to the Tampa VA hospital. The $250,000 bill from ORMC is paid in full by VA, who also send me a tax free check of $10,000 to cover my rehab.

2015 Seattle, Washington. Hit by an out-of-control car in a crosswalk at Pike Street Market. Paramedics rush me to Harborview, the best trauma hospital on the Pacific coast of America. The approximately $15,000 bill is covered by VA, although several months later the driver’s insurance company makes good VA’s outlay.

Conclusion: VA healthcare is the best…if you end up in a civilian hospital. :-)

    • Corruption at the highest level of New Zealand government!

These arrogant Leftist assholes do not understand that a small country like NZ simply does not have the resources to allow them the same high criminal lifestyle as the Clintons and Obamas enjoy in America, who have reduced what was in 2009, the richest country in the world down to 5th place by 2016.

Sorry hard working taxpayers of New Zealand for the poor example in government set by the United States.

      • Exactly, Ronbo.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif
All they need to complete the picture is mirror sunglasses and fake uniforms bedecked with fake medals.
