  4. Oh the delicious irony. Di Caprio, that champion of righteous causes and other assorted hedonistic endeavours. The man whose pet project, a movie about the slimey goings on in Capitalism. The movie all the critics were cooing about, turns out to be funded by swindled money…..how wonderfully perfect!

    From the article, “The Wolf of Wall Street” was financed in large part by $238 million siphoned from a Malaysian Hedge fund by Leonardo’s busom buddy Low.

    Not implying DiCaprio knew of the nature of the source of money, he may have, or may not; just the searing juxtaposition of sanctimony, glamour and corruption.

    God really does have a wonderfully delicious sense of humour.

  8. Most (Hollywood) movies are financed by organized crime using a maze of overseas dummy corporations:

    1. It’s a great way to launder money.
    2. If the movie flops, there’s a neat tax loss.
    3. If the movie scores; profits all round and the drug money still gets laundered.
