    Surely the cost falls on Elon Musk’s SpaceX which is sponsored to the tune of billions of dollars by the US govt – just because he produces rich boys toys that use electricity instead of petrol.

    It’s good in only one way — FB’s satellite is delayed. The bad news is that it’s insured. That cost will be passed along to the rest of us as do all insurance payouts. Zuck and Musk lose nothing in money save a deductible (if that). (Designing, testing and monitoring launch deployment of satellites was my line of work before retiring.)

      True,it just feels good that the biggest Peeping Tom on Earth got the window dropped on his pecker at least for awhile.
