        My late brother’s best mate was married to a teacher, and one night many years ago when we were young, I was talking about my teachers in primary school, and one in particular who used to spend the first ten minutes of every morning walking up and down the rows of desks, pointing at kids in turn, and saying, “Six times four!” or, “Eight plus eleven!” and you were expected to snap the answer out so the class would hear it. He called it, “Combinations,” and that kind of thing really stuck with me over the years, being able to add and multiply in your head. However, when I pointed this out to the young teacher, she said, “That’s rote learning!” and began to lecture me on how discredited it had become. All I could say at the time was, “Well at least it was learning.”

      Towards the bottom I note a politician climbing onto a bandwagon:

Then there is “Integration is a two-way street” which translates as White folks aren’t bending enough to the needs of the immigrants. As above they will be forced to do more. Finally “as we grapple with the challenges thrown up by globalisation” is too many words to say “as we submit to globalisation”.

    Waited how long, with a bomb allegedly under a seat? Until the props stopped turning? In which case why not taxi to the far end of the runway on the engine away from the passenger exit, with the other shut down?
