  1. Well, yes. But the Chinese money coming into New Zealand is keeping the economy going. Sure the house prices have risen – and all property owners have rejoiced, but the governments ham-handed attempt to control the market has just made it more difficult for the NZ citizens. The government has no place in regulating house prices……. and those trying to get into the market have to realise the 1/4 acre dream no longer exists in any large cities in the West and small mass produced housing units out of the central city is all they should be looking at, and the government should stop trying to regulate the housing market and put its effort into providing rapid transport systems to get these people to their places of work.

Well, yes. But the core problem is colonization-by-stealth in order to bail out National’s incompetent management, imho.

  2. Two telling opinion pieces in today’s Herald.

Bernard Hickey, like a nice little socialist, has blamed the rapid rise in the bond market on Trump and the whole world is doomed. No mention of the fact that the Chinese and Saudis have been selling off their US Government debt (i.e. bonds worth trillions of US$’s) to cover their shaky economies and have been doing so before Trump was elected.

On the other hand Rodney Hide has written a very good and honest commentary on Trumps election. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

  3. New Zealand patriots need to get together see what is to be done about the current regime, which as far as I can see is typical centralized reactionary socialist regime more at home in the Europe than in the dynamic Pacific region where less bureaucratic nations have done quite well.

Of course being an American I naturally think of a de-centralized constitutional republic that limits the government to national defense, the law courts and little else; however, the current governmental model could be reformed….For instance by mass firing of the legion of bureaucrats, who do little except getting in everyone’s way.

You’re playing my song, Sarge. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

      • Which is sad, because they have the potential to be so much better than that, as their history shows.

        • Impossible for New Zealand to reject socialism?

As in “Impossible” for Trump to be elected PUSA?

As in “Impossible” for Brexit to win the vote?

It seems to me that quite a lot of “impossible” things are happening in the world today.

          • Nah! I can’t believe the number of Kiwis who sprout the MSM talking points verbatim about Trump. Nary an original thought.

I’m quite enjoying their discomfort when they can’t give specific examples, and I push them hard on this, of why he’s a racist, of why he’s a horrible man, and why he’s going to lead us into WWIII, etc. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

              • NZ Media, today:
                ‘Obama accepts Rotorua invite
Could the United States’ coolest president finally be coming to visit? …’
Being a dope-smoking undocumented Marxist is apparently “cool” to these fuckwits. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wacko.gif

            • “Trump is awful…”
“On the other hand, Hillary is corrupt, treacherous, evasive, arrogant, incompetent…”
“Well, true. But… but Trump is AWFUL!”

    • This is what you could call eugenics. These are the same people that talk overpopulation but never give the good example by jumping of a bridge.
