    I’m back in Fairbanks, alive and well at my B&B, after surviving “The Dalton” haul road (made famous in the Canadian produced “Ice Road Truckers” mini-series that was broadcast world wide) to Prudhoe Bay and the black gold of the oil fields.

    The was a 12 hour tour in a late model bus with excellent electronics, air conditioning (Yes, needed because the temperature out was in 80 to 90F range) and shocks – Nevertheless, it was no gentle walk in the park, but a very bumpy 400 mile trek up and down one of the worst roads in North America.

    We crossed the Yukon River on the only bridge across the Yukon River, which was about half a mile wide at that point. The next stop was 60 miles further north at the Arctic Circle, where the temperature was 90 degrees plus under an almost cloudless summer day and the sun beat down without mercy. The state park at the Arctic Circle had a few trees around the campgrounds, but mostly there is no shade from the brutal sun. The bathrooms on the Dalton are gross smelling outhouses with no running water.

    …and the mosquitoes! I covered up the flesh in a light weight sweat suit and long sleeve T-shirt, but most my fellow tourists showed up in short sleeves and shorts, and they suffered numerous mosquito bites even after using the repellant provided by the Guide…..and sunburn. I mean who expects sunburn on the Arctic Circle?

    I could go along for pages, but the bottom line is that a day trip half way up The Dalton that parallels The Pipeline is a miserable experience, unless you’re young, dumb and still enjoy toughing it out in the wild – but can you imagine the misery of the pipeline workers and road builders who worked 16 hour shifts in winter and summer building this marvel of a creation. Yes, the pay was good, the plans were excellent, the effort backed by American government and oil corporations willing to go for broke to see the job done, but it was the “industrial army” of hardhat workers with boots on the ground – The Grunts – who made the impossible happen.

    I guess the moral to the story is that if we can dream it, we can do it. I think the spirit that drove the thousands to success in this particular “Mission Impossible” was best said by the man who built the “impossible” White Pass railroad from Skagway to Dawson. He said, “Give me enough dynamite and I will built a railroad to Hell!”

      It’s the 5th century A.D. and the barbarian invasions all over again except this time from the south instead of the north…At this rate, Europe – at least western Europe – will disappear under a black wave of savages.

      Clearly, the only way to save Europe is a genocide of Leftists, who have, quite frankly, turned traitor and represent a more serious threat to the white European race than the barbarians.

      It’s a repeat in a shorter time span of what happened to end the Roman Empire – the Roman ruling class tried to appease the barbarians by the offer of land and gold. Then when the last Roman Legion was defeated, the barbarians took all the land and gold, along with everything else in the former empire – and Western civilization ended for several hundred “dark” years.

      Like Cicero wisely said over 2,000 years ago – the traitor inside the gate is more to be feared than the one outside, so if the West is to be spared a New Dark Age, we must turn on our ruling classes and put them all to the sword.
