‘Breeding Sheep in New Zealand

…A peaceful little country at the end of the earth consumed by its own affairs, achievements and virtue as a liberal, open, welcoming society perhaps might not be expected to be greatly engaged with the world — a world of trouble indeed. Nor might one expect Kiwis to be actively engaged with the world of ideas, for the same reasons of general contentment with their lot.

But in view of the narrow, very thinly based and stifled media and intelligentsia here, where memes go unargued, even undetected, and where the goons control what gets said and not said and where the examined life is often not chosen, one does feel quite depressed. Especially when a highly respected figure holding quite sane and defensible views that are shared by many in his country cannot even traipse onto a university campus to give a talk. And all because an imported university bureaucrat spouted a meme about hate speech. In New Zealand, alas, that was enough to see the further scuttling of free speech.’

This is great KG. The complete video that had been unavailable in NZ that I supplied by copying a portion under the title “Southern Molyneaux Gower” on August 4 is shown in this link. I presume that all can now see what a fool they made of Gower. And it demonstrates, by showing a subsequent video, how the obsequious NZ media encouraged him to lie about his thrashing. Wonderful stuff.

When will Kiwis take it out on these lying cowards?

    • KG says:

 I’m very pleased indeed you like it, Pascal. (I should add that the first video is banned in NZ – what the hell are they afraid of, words??)
The situation in NZ is quite frightening – Venezuela could happen very, very easily here.
The NZ Herald runs at least two, sometimes as many as five anti-Trump items every day, they give utterly untruthful reports about events such as Charlottesville and there is almost NO conservative commentary.
How Kiwis who rely only on Kiwi media can regard themselves as informed is a mystery to me. Maybe the appearance of Brownshirts on the streets will wake them up, although I doubt it.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

KG, there is one Conservative voice, Leighton Smith talk back on Newstalk ZB mornings. He has spent a lot of time concerning Free Speech recently and I am encouraged by
Some great intelligent and informed Callers to the programme. Sadly after many years on air he is retiring at
Years end. He will be missed.
We are not all asleep, just most of us unfortunately,

        • KG says:

A hundred more Leighton Smiths might do the job, Carole.
I do realise that all Kiwis aren’t asleep, believe me, but they don’t have a public voice. The left owns the media space.

You could have a thousand, heck,if a cartoon bear can build massive audience in Australia, surely there are a few Kiwis that could give it a try.

What passes for “right wing ” blogs (other than CR) are Kiwi blog, No Minister and Whale oil and they are full of allegedly rightists squabbling. Matthew Hooten is one columnist that I respect and Mike Hoskins also shows promise on occasion. Other than that it is as if it is one voice unthinkingly repeating the MSM narrative. Thank goodness we have such a savvy PM who is protecting us from the scourge of plastic bags.

  2. Pascal says:

Dammit, that first video is STILL banned?

Well, in that case, here again is that excerpt I captured so that the lies of the 2nd video can be made that much clearer.

Twitter is a hard left space as well. Are we doomed??

Quadrant piece excellent reading > well worth finding out more about this author Paul Collits >> the sickening thing about the stupid Gower and his colleagues is that they were openly talking about how to suppress people like Southern and Molyneux. Gower then bragged how good it was that being deprived of the talk they would lose a lot of money.
      >> I belong to that group of people who find it safer not to listen or read anything for the arrogant smug and stupid media. <<
I hate to say it but I will be right upfront once the hardly wait till the sho8ting starts.
Here is one of our major problems in narrow little New Zealand from Collits at Quadrant
      > There is no Abbott, no Hanson, no Bernardi in New Zealand. Nor are there voices and strategic nodes on the right in the New Zealand media, which is very thin inability and narrow in worldview. There is no Alan Jones. No Andrew Bolt. No Michael Smith. New Zealand’s public broadcaster is a joke, consisting of mostly talk radio (no television, mercifully) and goons stringing together memes they have acquired and learned from international leftist sisters…

    • Paul Scott says:

We are only doomed Lara as long as we play meek and mild and pretend. Recognising that we are at war is now a necessity, and wars mean action and major sacrifice.

  4. Pascal says:

Oh, please tell me that you can see this one in New Zealand.

It shows and explains why Gower’s bosses have been hiding his performance and why that other video tries to make him out as a hero because he was so badly humiliated by Molyneaux and Southern. LMAO if it is not blocked! (Yet, in which case save it.)
