    Thank you Darin!

Just a short synopsis concerning this video to encourage those wondering if they should watch it or not.

This documentary covers everything involving this battle, from the lead up to the battle, the weather at the time (heavy rain) the indecision from higher command to reinforce those troops facing far superior numbers of enemy, the cowardice/bureaucratic tendencies of some within the military hierarchy, the bravery and insubordination of air force officers to get much needed ammunition to D company fighting for their lives, the courage and steadfastness of the New Zealand support artillery and United States long range 155 mm guns, the recollections of many of the officers and other ranks directly involved in the fighting, including some North Vietnamese regulars and the final assault to the rear of the enemy by 3 Cavalry Regiment that brought an end to a very bloody battle.

This is a warts and all documentary of what really happens when an enemy attacks in numbers no preparation has been put in place to resist. It is eye opening, nail biting and gut wrenching in its detail. It is well worth the viewing.

Watched it the whole way through, the quote-” no battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy” comes to mind.
That any of those men survived is a testament to their training, courage and divine intervention.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif
