Pray the BPS is too pessimistic.
I have been wary of Trumpism because, whether we like it or not, those who would destroy rule over individual sovereigns (citizens) by constitution — even though they hate Trump — would welcome rule by dictat en infinitum. No man, whatever his good and bad attributes, lives forever. There is the follow-up to worry about.
BPS use this picture over and over again as he speaks about his topics. Since I know it quite well I have put together something so that those who see it might come to recognize what is here and thus gauge its modest size and the skill used to design and build it.
(Click to embiggen.)
The design intricacies of putting together such a compact interchange that handles so many cars in such a tight bit of real estate is probably a lost art. Also likely is it would not pass muster with regulatory agencies today. I find it marvelous.
I wonder if a committee was involved.
Efficiency has it’s own elegance doesn’t it? There are quite a few things designed and built in decades past that we could not replicate today. The knowledge of their construction is lost, gone away with the men who obtained it the old fashioned way. It reminds me of what Dalrymple quote-
“The (insert nationality here) are barbarians camped out in the relics of an older and superior civilization to whose beauties they are oblivious.” Theodore Dalrymple
What is being described by BPS is a an outline, the symptoms if you will, of parts of a civilization in distress and not in total decline, as is hinted at. What is not mentioned is that Western civilization covers many nations that have their own individual cultures, cultures that share many of the values that are inherent throughout the West.
Describing symptoms is one thing, but to not include the root causes of the symptoms, and then add the remedies for the cure to those symptoms, is in my opinion, not being fully aware to the generalizations as raised – and much of what is stated in that video, I find, is largely based in generalizations.
For instance: London’s population is singled out as being in favor of allowing a ‘strong man’ to rule over the city. What is not mentioned though, is that London’s population is now two thirds of non-British heritage – the larger majority of that two thirds being the followers of Islam. Hence the strong man to rule thinking that is the kind of mindset that dominates nearly all Muslim majority countries. And please note, I have not mentioned the term ‘Muslim Nations’ because there is no such thing as a Muslim Nation, as Islam does not recognize nation states because all Muslims are loyal to Islam first.
And while London has been targeted as an example of the presumed collapse of Western civilization, there has been no counter balance presented that would show only the Anglo/Euro parts of the West to be in distress, and not through a natural occurrence as is mooted, but as a deliberate act of destruction from within.
All of the once communist controlled nations of Europe/Russia, are now resurrecting their own individual cultures that may be seen as a counter balance to what the Anglo/Euro parts of the West are now experiencing – and experience that is in fact an awakening to the forces that have controlled those parts of the West for a very long time, and that awakening now causes the realization amongst the wider population, that things have got to change. And if the wider population realizes that things have got to change, then I would posture, that current Western nations now in distress will eventually work their way out of the current problems that now beset them.
Donald J. Trump is a Christian and a Patriot, and was approached in 2015 by a group of military officers into running for POTUS against what those officers already knew would happen to their country if Hilary Clinton became president. The offer was to change the direction of the country via lawful means or, if Trump refused the challenge, by way of military coup, if Clinton had succeeded in becoming POTUS.
Trump is no Caesar!
I do not disagree with much you wrote Neme. The parallels to Rome are only valid in that both late republics are shadows of their earlier versions when one considers the rectitude of those in positions of authority. A significant reason for decline in rectitude in both derives from how both came to rule the known world. Power corrupts.
Caesar was poor, rose to power through military boldness and genius with the critical support of Pompey (Caesar’s son-in-law who loaned him his army) and Crassus (who loaned him the money to run that army). This is not Trump in so many ways, particularly his lack of highly visible backers.
Caesar claimed to be happy as dictator for life and made a great show of not wishing to be king.
I do not see Trump making a show of not being a god — about what Americans would be upset about as much — if not more — as Romans were of kings.
But it is the breaking down of the margins of our constitutional limits on government that is troubling. Those limits were intended to protect us from traveling the path of Rome’s failure.
Caesar was not the first dictator of Rome, just the only one who did not honorably retire on his own.
What Trump might well be closer to is Sulla — who came to power to subdue the deep state of his day. Sulla was a general, but he was needed to put down another protomarxist general, Marius (Caesar’s uncle).
What is missing from BPS and most analysts on what parallels the USA needs to be concerned about is that after Sulla retired and died, the deep state had not been vanquished but simply was reduced temporarily. The Roman Senate was still filled with very wealthy and nasty men who went on a new recruiting spree post Sulla.
That is the danger with Trump once out of office. The machine is likely still going to be there. And the import of 3rd worlders into the USA is making it harder to stop it from recovering.
I do not know the answer. But if an answer can be found, this poorly understood seed of our destruction surely needs application of some form of political weed killer.
Part of the corruption within the political sphere is the ability for those ‘elected’ into office to keep being elected, in some cases, for decades. A cursory look over all western style parliamentary systems would reveal a stark revelation to those seeking a common denominator in the process of political corruption – many of those politicians have become ensconced in their positions due largely to party politics and the ability to compromise their own principles and morals for insatiable greed, rewarded of course, with Bank accounts and real estate, that do not match their yearly salaries.
Trump has identified that problem and now argues for fixed terms for all elected officials – and I hope that is extended into the many bureaucracies as well – and he is also suggesting that all elected officials and their families be audited on a regular basis.
The greater aspect to the political corruption process has to rest within the political parties themselves and the power brokers. If a political party has its own rules (constitution) within the party, while individual members are sworn in to uphold the nation’s constitution, then their loyalty must get tested from time to time whenever there is presented a conflict of interest between the party they belong to and the interests of their country.
When was the last time anyone heard a politician say he/she was becoming compromised?
And in my own research, this has occurred on far too many occasions – especially in regard to all Anglo/Euro nations being sold out to the United Nations – the Globalist HQ – while being told to ignore their law of the land.
My question to all of this is: Why do we need political parties if every individual elected into office is sworn in to uphold the nation’s constitution above all else?
But, my foremost concern is that Trump will not go far enough in identifying, and then exposing and destroying, the controllers of this world who have been manipulating us all since the time of Sumer and Babylon, which is the evil that Jesus has warned us all about.
What is needed — Political weed killer — see above.
LOL! Yeah, it’s often referred to as a Hangman’s Noose.
That’ll work.
In some respects we can see from history where others have been and what the outcome was. However, our time is unique and not everything is the same as it was in previous cycles. There are several outliers we must add to the mix. As a species we are vastly more mobile than at anytime in our past, the jet age shrank our world considerably. Formerly it took time for cultures to shift and change simple because of the distances involved. Now a person can be anywhere in the world in a matter of a couple days.
We have global nearly instantaneous systems of communication and commerce that we didn’t have before.Language is no longer the barrier it was previously.
We now have the means to destroy ourselves in mass in less than a couple hours. Those weapons have also found their way into the hands of third world madmen that don’t have the same educated moral restraint of first world leaders past.
I could go on for hours, but to me , everything is just the same as before, but everything is also different. The more I think of it Blade Runner may have been more of a prophecy than I realized.
Regarding the assaults on us. There is one thing I’ve pointed out in detail, and reference from time to time, that the tyrannical forces have been using to divide citizens significantly. It is my warning about allowing the United States to establish a state religion that goes unrecognized as such.
Question.
What person is now permitted to be hired, or if already hired then further promoted, in our governments and government funded institutions, who does not at least bow to the belief that humanity is a major cause of climate change?
If this has become common practice it only remains to be established in a court of law that it happened once. From there it can be declared illegal due to violation of the last phrase of Article VI, Clause 3 of the US Constitution:
And for those who will insist this is not a religion, let me provide you with this dictionary entry:
Religion: a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance.
By the time you get to this point with some true believer, what they believe to be of supreme importance has become transparent for all bystanders to witness. They may even claim to be a member of one of the recognized religions — but everyone will know that it is not God they fear most.
I do not understand why this avenue of counterattack has not been addressed by all the lawyers who appear to be on our side. Has it really not occurred to them?
For the record, here is the last of my 3 part series on the dangers inherent in the US having adopted this hidden religion. Those Forced to Pass a Religious Test Have Standing in Court
It is nearly 4 years old, and yet nobody has seen the value in calling out the perpetrators and dragging them to court.
At the least the charge that government and institutions have created a pseudo religion and forced its employees to convert to it or be penalized should be made prominent in every discussion on CAGW or whatever name the perpetrators are then employing.
I am only one poor soul who has tried to provide my friends an edge that could be leveraged to great advantage.
It is too bad I lack the audience and the energy to push any idea very much. At any rate I sorely lack the skills of leadership that would gain me followers. Should it later occur to anyone, please say that at least Pascal tried.
What troubles me most is knowing that could this avenue of attack be even partially successful but never tried, then it is tragic for all those souls who could have been protected from the coercions of this cabal of self-serving priests and the powers who elevated them.
Pascal, your thinking is way ahead of many, and you are correct in what you have written concerning the ‘religion’ of Global Warming Climate Change, a belief system that has captured many who would rather believe in Man’s destructiveness, than accept what all Men can achieve through the simple acknowledgement of God’s existence.
Only the foolish and the evil, would choose to deny that this world is here through divine design.
I believe with the removal of many of Obama’s political activist and radical Federal Judges, and Ginsberg’s replacement on the Supreme Court, we will see a more constitutional approach to those issues you and others have raised, issues that are of significant importance in completing the U turn for America that Trump started with his election.
Bonus on the timing thanks to Wretchard noticing and posting this link:

Pull quote:
In New Zealand both sides of government have colluded to implement Carbon legislation. We have a carbon cargo cult inspired law in our statutes. Fools. The Cargo Cult comes from worshipping the dying media talking points. The dying media is controlled by corrupt globablists, whom only seek % return, and use people as pawns. The corrupt media count Epstein as one of theirs, which is why they are covering for him so much. We can not just accept the official line, and get to the truth, reveal the coverups, and bring a little light to the world. Sunlit meadows ahead.
QUESTION
Do we have an artist among our readers here? I’d like to chat with you. A commission is involved.
I once had this commissioned.
What I have in mind would be far more effective.
That seemed like Doom Porn. I’m not sure about Black Pigeon’s Caesar love. Caesar was only emulating the greed of the power mad pervert Sulla (he hung around Drag Queens). Rome fell soon after Caesar. The roman men were slaughtered. The women raped. Their daughters taken as new wives.
Rome was decadent. The people lived a licentious, pornographic life, and under the weight of Usury, fell to the Goths. The Rome that rose up from the ashes, under the spell of a strange rejected Jewish sect: Christianity, is still there today. Christianity conquered all.
A lot of this modern insanity can be ascribed to a perverted paganism. State worship. Without the moral law, a moral compass, people worship the city of man. Men are flawed.
I’ve just started City of God [Augustine], and my head is full of the tales of the olden times. For an dusty old book, it’s chock full of gore and goodness. Spengler seemed a bit of a Nietzsche Nihilist (doom porn) and I have avoided. Maybe one day.
There are indeed a lot of parallels between the west and ancient Rome.
And it’s not due to coincidence.
