    • And now Pelosi is holding back on sending the articles to the Senate. What’s the plan now? Try to force the Senate to recuse every member that’s biased before she releases the articles? How long does she think she can hold up the proceedings? The radical left could use the impeachment to start rioting to try to force Trump out without a trial. I don’t see a good outcome here.

I do, it would give us on the right the excuse we need to party like it’s 1776

      • This has never been about impeachment. The Dems have a court case pending to get hold of information from one of the Grand Jury hearings during the Mueller/Weissman “Russia” investigation. Nadler knows what it is but can’t use it because he’s not supposed to know what it is. Mueller/Weissman planted the seed of “obstruction” and that is why this impeachment used “obstruction” and not all the other nonsense, and now the Dems have a reason for the courts to release this information. They just need to delay the Senate hearing until after the court case. Dirty Dems, it’s all about ensuring Trump becomes unelectable in 2020.

  1. What I’m hoping will happen, is that people won’t vote Democrat, the House and Senate will be Republican majority. That would put a stop to this.

    • It will take more than that Warren since the GOP is infested with Progs (GOPe), also known as Statists Knowingly Undermining the Nation’s Constitution. They are backstabbers and worse.

    • Reinforcing my previous comment is Ace at AoSHQ:

I wonder when British conservatives will realize that a substantial faction of the “Conservative” party is itself resolutely anti-conservative and indeed the deadliest enemy to actual conservatism — as we’ve now realized in the US.

It has taken quite a lot of treachery by the GOPe for him to adopt this position.

Ace disliked my comments in 2012 when I posted a warning about danger in expecting Romney to behave like he wanted to win (not act the GOP placeholder.) For support I’d recounted how Romney suddenly spewed nonsense, covered by media nationwide, in October 1994, throwing away his then large lead for Senate against Ted Kennedy. Indeed, Romney repeated that behavior against Obama as I expected. My point was that we’d be better served putting more effort behind conservatives running for lesser offices. Ace tore into me for it and was aided in that attack on me by his fans. Judging from his comment today, Ace has since come around.

    • Of course Darin. The more corporatized a religion becomes the less those who run it can be trusted. Here are two explanations that reinforce each other.

Robert Conquest’s Three Laws of Politics:

      1. Everyone is conservative about what he knows best.
      2. Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing.
      3. The simplest way to explain the behavior of any bureaucratic organization is to assume that it is controlled by a cabal of its enemies.

Gerry Pournelle’s iron law of bureaucracy:

In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely.
