Trump flips 9th circuit court-

LA Times-

When President Trump ticks off his accomplishments since taking office, he frequently mentions his aggressive makeover of a key sector of the federal judiciary — the circuit courts of appeal, where he has appointed 51 judges to lifetime jobs in three years.

In few places has the effect been felt more powerfully than in the sprawling 9th Circuit, which covers California and eight other states. Because of Trump’s success in filling vacancies, the San Francisco-based circuit, long dominated by Democratic appointees, has suddenly shifted to the right, with an even more pronounced tilt expected in the years ahead.

Trump is setting up the GOP to have political/judicial dominance for decades to come…….and yet there are GOP representatives and others who are so persistently anti him. They are beginning to look rather churlish. The voters have noticed!

The RINOs don’t want to resolve issues and fix the problems we elected them to fix. Instead they want to fake and fade that they are doing something, when clearly they are not.
The reason they do this is simple-if they fix a problem, then they can’t use it to raise campaign funds again next cycle. It’s the same playbook the dems have used for decades. Make a bunch of promises, get elected, throw the voters a few crumbs and then sell their influence aka( wine and dine the corporate donors for bribes)
This is the primary reason they all hate Trump- he gets stuff done.

From The Woodpile Report, tucked in amongst other stuff it’s easy to miss.

    “A personal note.

There’s no gentle way to say this, so I’ll not try. My wife is at the end stage of a terminal condition. As is always the case there’s some uncertainty. Weeks are possible, days are probable. Woodpile Report will go dark for a while when it happens.”

22 years in the police force and I was privy to a lot of suicides, either investigating them myself or reading reports by other officers, and I have never heard of anybody shooting themselves in the chest.

      • Darin says:

Me neither, and just in a random location seems odd too, usually they do it at home or in a secluded area, not just on the side of the street. This stinks of a hit, more than a simple robbery or suicide,

Day two of my first taste of the harrowing. The old school St Thomas style Lent is full on. Getting visions already…

~ Fasting is practiced in order to bridle the lusts of the flesh. Daniel received a revelation after fasting for three weeks. St Thomas, quoting Augustine “Fasting cleanses the soul, raises the mind, subjects one’s flesh to the spirit, renders the heart contrite and humble, scatters the clouds of concupiscence, quenches the fire of lust, kindles the true light of chastity.” ~

I was stuck in the jury assembly area waiting to be called to serve on a jury when I read this so I couldn’t come here and share the moment right away.

Bill Barr has behaved in worrisome manner, maybe more for me than others here. However he gained a gold star on overcoming my skepticism when he was quoted as using the term “corporate press.”

The phrase is not exactly the same as my favorite “corporate media,” but it’s close enough for this old man.

But I’m not that easily impressed for long. He still has to charge many of the deep state nasties or be written off as another swamp creature. It takes balls to do that with the full kangaroo court press by the corporate media against anything Trump.

    From Ace:

“Today in the United States, the corporate — or ‘mainstream’ — press is massively consolidated,” Barr said. “And it has become remarkably monolithic in viewpoint, at the same time that an increasing number of journalists see themselves less as objective reporters of the facts, and more as agents of change. These developments have given the press an unprecedented ability to mobilize a broad segment of the public on a national scale and direct that opinion in a particular direction.”

I wondered why this faded from view so quickly (with nary a mention of the politics or possible bigotry of the shooter).

    Show compassion for Joe Biden…

It’s time for Joe Biden’s loved ones to put an end to this sad spectacle. Dragging him around on the campaign trail is just cruel. It’s elder abuse to keep pushing him out in public for the amusement of sick freaks like me. I don’t care about his well-being, but they should. He’s an old man and it’s time for him to rest now. Please don’t let him keep tarnishing his golden years.

Ed just reminded me of this old gem. Turns out it provides us with a tangible way to explain Bernie and his addled followers.

Money quote from the apparent near relative of Bernie Sanders appearing in this film:

“It’s not a mistake [sigh…] If anything, the mistake is in nature… we fight forces that try to hold us down [sigh…] and the whole [of my] life is an escape from reality.”
