  1. Shut down the economy.
    Send everybody home.
    Or we all could die.

    Climate Change?
No, some flu from China (as if that’s never happened before).

But hey, can’t let a good crisis go to waste can we?
By now, you don’t need a link to Rahm Emanuel saying that, I trust.

This is a must read for some common sense and where we are now.

The data collected so far on how many people are infected and how the epidemic is evolving are utterly unreliable.

They have been making major decisions without reliable data on climate for years. Why should COVID 19 be any different?

While I’m certainly no legal eagle, this sounds like grasping at straws to me.

And seeing as its ‘Shifty’ Shiff, I wouldn’t be surprised if the arguments are spurious.

“Italy also has direct flights from Wuhan and reports suggest over 100,000 Chinese citizens were working in Italian factories,” the Times continued. “Chinese made a slow and steady move into Italy and many Italian fashion firms are now owned by them as well. As per a news report, there are more than 300,000 Chinese and over 90% of them work in the Italian garment industry. As per reports, there are thousands of small companies that are active in exports. This region is also very interconnected as well.” (Hat tip: American Thinker.)

So I went in to put in a few hours on my Casual Contract reading ageing material for a commercial fish species. I was met at the door by the Regional Manager telling me that over the weekend, Senior Management had decided that anyone over 60 should not be allowed to work in any of the offices.

Now he is calling around to see if a) I can be allowed to work in the microscope lab by myself or b) be allowed to take home a $$ microscope and work from home. Or none of the above.

Well, NZ is due to be shut down from tomorrow. Today is likely to be a nightmare with everyone trying to get those last items they suddenly realise are necessary.

Self isolation on a river with a fly rod in my hand is looking like a major activity.

The Democrats have a huge problem. Of their septuagenarian “leaders” one seems to be pissed all the time and is unable to get her words out while their most likely Presidential nominee seems to have his lights on but there is nobody at home. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cool.gif

I saw the idiot Biden flapping his dentures today and if I saw right, he was stumbling through his words and one eye lid kept dropping like he was either having a stroke or a seizure.

He looks like a dementia sufferer. They get that 1000 yd stare. I don’t think he’s going to make it to the debates with Trump. I’m sure the Dems want to get him over the line and then hand the Presidency to his female VP who will not be named until the last moment. It’s not hard to guess who that will be…

  6. Michael in Nelson says:

I had heard a bit about the Democrat wish list submitted by Pelosi in the bill she submitted to replace the Senate bill she rejected but this is so insane I struggle to understand how anyone could take such a stance. I sincerely hope Americans crush the Democrats at the next election for this.

Until today I had no idea that Kmart still existed, but apparently there are 25 stores in NZ
