Leftie control freaks in NZ have cancelled Anzac Day two years in a row. We won’t forget that either.

The totalitarians who think they run this country can stop us working, can stop us socialising but they’ll never stop us thinking! Our forebears fought not for restrictions or for our country to collapse into a police state; but for liberty, opportunity, ingenuity and decency. I detest the current government for its exploitation of a medical issue to thumb us with their vile controls.

    Salute.

We did Anzac morning at 6 at the front gate with a torch and a radio. I saw half a dozen other families out in the dark. Young and old. The mystery of ANZAC spirit, if anything deepened, rather than diminished, as many had feared would happen during the lockdown.

The story of sacrifice for nation gets better with each retelling.

My Chinese neighbour’s kid played The Last Post at 0610. They’ve been in NZ about 6 months and he’s about 10 yo. Plays the trumpet pretty well, although he did rush through The Last Post a bit. I reckon they appreciate freedom a bit more than our current crop of Socialist leaders. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yes.gif

Lovely. We heard three renditions at different times.

Great grandad and family were locked up in Brisbane during WW1, as 1st generation German immigrants. Grandad quickly Aussied up and fought in New Guinea and Dad trained for Vietnam. Victim status is naturally abhorrent for most, especially immigrants.
