The Lancet used to be one of the top medical journals. The editor has been politicising it over the last 25 years or so that he has been in that position. Any good medical journal has stringent review procedures to verify that studies they publish. This often involves a to-and-fro between the publication and the author and may take quite a lengthy period. Ask anyone who has done any medical research about the time consuming process to get their work published. This whole palaver makes me believe that this editor knew about the study being fake and allowed it to be published purely for political purposes. This is fraud and he should be gaoled.
Yes, they should be and the folks behind Surgisphere should be taken out and shot. They achieved their purpose, muddying the waters so the public has no clue who’s telling the truth and who’s not.
