One suspects that they don’t dare go to that extreme. I don’t believe that their gun “buy back” went as planned.
Alas. The police need the public to be on side to function but are rapidly losing that connection and good will. It’s a tough job and being made increasingly difficult by their attitude and political compliance along with their indifference to the criminal behaviour that ordinary citizens encounter every day while chasing around after non threatening events like this quiet protest. They should be embarrassed but are not.
