I was thinking yesterday that it’s odd how Trump and company have been not wearing masks for months, not social distancing and generally going on about life without much regard for Covid with no ill effects.
But then suddenly, with a month to go before the election, with a crucial SCOTUS nominee vote coming up, suddenly many of the key players, including Trump himself come down with Covid.
The timing, to me anyway, seems just a bit odd. It also seems I’m not the only one to come to this conclusion. Spotted on another blog-
“I find it extremely odd, and very convenient, that 30 days before the election, and a week before a contentious supreme court nomination hearing, more than a half dozen of the most protected and powerful Republicans in the nation, cordoned off, screened and tested every day for COVID-19 for the past eight months, are suddenly and simultaneously laid low by an invisible virus while, literally, dozens of prominent Democrats on social media exalt the news and call for their death.
But hey, that’s just me. Call me crazy.”
So, am I just paranoid?

I don’t think you are paranoid, caught up in a conspiracy theorist’s nightmare or being crazy. Let me ask this; how many high ranking members of the demo-cretin party have tested positive since the evil Rona arrived on our shores? Since February, several Republicans, including White House staffers, have tested positive.
According to Citizen Free Press, 10 04 2020, eleven media members and debate staffers tested positive PRIOR to Trump arriving in Cleveland for the debate with Biden. “Officials for the City of Cleveland said 11 cases of the Wuhan coronavirus could be traced back to the Sept. 29 presidential debate. The cases were a result of debate pre-planning and set-up, with the majority of cases impacting out-of-state travelers, particularly debate organizers and members of the media.”
Would I put it past the far left (marxists) to infect willing (or not) participants to deliberately spread the virus within targeted areas or events? Maybe I will be called crazy because my answer is a very strong, resounding NO.
PJW made an interesting observation, the media claims this covid outbreak happened at the WH announcement of Amy Barrett’s nomination. But as Paul points out, half of the people supposedly infected there were wearing masks.

The WHO now estimates that about 750 million people worldwide have contracted Covid. Hmmm….1 million deaths = mortality of .13%. People, this is just flu!
I’m sure the WH has regular testing on all its staff. Anyway I’m not convinced of the effectiveness of the majority of masks worn. Home-made cloth ones – give me a break!
Having worked my adult life in OR’s and ICU’s I’ve seen the changes taking place around mask rules as more and more evidence accumulates with regard to their lack of effectiveness. Only the people who are directly over the wound or instruments now need to wear them – to stop saliva and nasal secretions from falling into the wound. Instead the theatres have laminar air flow and a positive pressure to maintain sterility. N95 masks are probably the only ones that will offer some defence but they are uncomfortable to wear, hard to fit properly and have to be removed safely.
There was a Japanese virologist on a while back saying the same thing. Sick people with symptoms should wear a mask to catch spitle. Everyone else no.
