    I’ll admit, I still don’t get the $9 paycheck.

      She was trying to claim that after with holdings all she made that week was $9, but that was in wages and didn’t include the $780 in tips she made the same week.
      This is all part of the push for a federal $15/hr minimum wage. Only problem is , the tipped workers, which she is one of, will come out on the losing side if it passes. Many make more in tips than they would receive at a $15/hr rate and IIRC tips are taxed at a different rate than regular wage income.

      I used to know a girl that was a waitress at a high end steakhouse. She was a hard worker and cute. She made $160/week in wages, but managed $800-900 a week in tips. At that time a four year degree just barely made the same money.
      If what Biden and his lot of criminals and crooks want goes through, Contract and tipped workers are going to get demolished.
