      While I would love to see justice meted out to many of the Deep State, I would rather the Republicans (should they get control of Congress) work first toward implementing policies that reduce crime, government spending, and the bureaucracy. If they spend too much energy punishing the Left/Democrats they risk replacing them as vindictive politicians.

          They need to do both simultaneously,the deep state needs to be kept occupied looking for new jobs and responding to law suits and subpoenas.

            Conservatism, as William F Buckley created it, has been subverted. When it was initially created its main goal was a foil against the isolationist America First movement. It was infiltrated by State agents and compromised. Conservatism now just conserves lefty nonsense and helps keep the UniParty elites in power.

      Forestry debris has been a problem during heavy rain events for over 20 years. In 1998 thee was a flood in a local catchment and the forestry slash took out a couple of bridges and severely damaged the lower reaches. For the Motueka valley, sediment from forestry contributes 90%+ of the sediment (personal communication from the environment officer of the local Regional Council.)

        That’s why SMZ’s(Stream Management Zones) are the rule here. No cutting within 150 feet of a stream bank, even if it only flows during part of the year.

      I see that his father adopted the Lumumba name. Patrice Lumumba was a Pan-Africanist and first PM of the DRC after gaining independence from Belgium. After having a request for assistance from the US and their allies turned down he got it from the USSR. I don’t think he ever became a communist although there was a University in Moscow bearing his name.

        The irony of the whole Jan 6 hearing circus is Bennie Thompson(D from the same district),also a one time proponent of the New Africa movement chairs the Jan 6 committee. So a Prog Dem Secessionist is in charge of the committee going after the Jan 6 protesters.
