legitimising separatism:

‘Changes to Maori representation, the size of Parliament and the length of the electoral term will be considered in a review of New Zealand’s constitution.
…….The review is part of a confidence and supply agreement between National and the Maori Party.
Dr Sharples said the constitutional review would be a chance to look at how New Zealand’s legal and political systems could better incorporate Maori.           source

Apparently, throwing billions of dollars at maori, handing over massive assets paid for by the taxpayer, giving maori preferential (and expensive) health and education treatment, wasting millions and millions of dollars on bullshit maori-language programs and dual-language signage and documentation…….apparently these and many more concessions to a bunch of primitive assholes who contribute little (other than to the child abuse and violent crime statistics) isn’t enough. Key obviously needs to find new ways to grovel to a (tiny) minority, the minority for whom there will never be enough “free” money, never enough concessions.
