    • To be fair, legitimate liberals (from times long gone) were not deliberately destructive. This is the behavior of the Left since time began.

    • I follow the excellent Canadian blogger vladtepesblog.com

There can be no doubt that Trudeau is leading the charge of repopulating and destroying white Anglo-Saxon nations. New Zealand and Australia are following close behind.

Our opposition party, which allegedly is centre-right and looks like it will be able to form a government after the upcoming election, is lead by a woke, ex-corporate suit who supports the climate scam, supported Ardern during the vaxx madness and now refuses to address the carnage caused by it, refuses to say that this co-governance madness (Maori supremacy apartheid) will be undone in its entirety, etc, etc. He is just another UN/WHO shill with left-wing policies.

      • National doesn’t have any plans to address the lack of protection for babies that survive a late term abortion either (I asked).

        • I don’t understand what people are referring to when they talk about late term abortion. Essentially 1st term and early 2nd term abortions are done using a suction and curette so the foetus is essentially broken into pieces. Later 2nd term pregnancies become a problem because of haemorrhage issues and if far enough advanced are removed by doing a hysterotomy – ie a surgical incision through the front of the womb. These are done for mother’s health or because the foetus has such severe congenital abnormalities it will not survive. Foetuses younger than 24 weeks have minimal chance of surviving and then only with other major problems. Even after 28 weeks only about 1/3 will perform normally at school and 1/3 will be significantly brain damaged. In NZ any baby delivered after 24 weeks will get ICU care, many survive. I have never been involved, even peripherally, in the termination of a normal viable pregnancy which has been done with the intention to allow the baby to die.

          • In the US, late term, means right up to the moment of normal full term delivery and for ANY reason.

I understand the need in the case of a severely deformed baby or where there is no chance of survival. However to abort a perfectly healthy baby is straight up murder and should be treated as such IMO.

It’s interesting that there are only seven nations in the world that allow it, with China, North Korea and the US leading the list.

          • I checked the information on the Ministry of Health site and I didn’t see any information on what happens if a baby survives a late/full term abortion. So, I asked both parties would back legislation protecting the baby in such an occurrence and both said no.

            • If it is a premature induction of labour, at say 30 weeks and there is a viable foetus, the baby will be born alive. In NZ I think that failure to care for that baby would be criminal. I can’t imagine we have gone California-batty yet.

  1. Fox news reports (in incredulous tones) that Jay Powell of the FED actually said that oil prices do not affect inflation. Jesus wept!

    • Technically he’s right, but it does one hell of a job of exacerbating it. The easiest way to tell things are getting bad at a rapid rate? When you roll up to the pump and the last sale was for $1.21.

  2. I’m home from surgery yesterday. The surgeon took some internal photos and explained them to me. The gall bladder had a lot of adhesions to the abdominal wall and in the process of carefully clearing those, he found two abscesses. Fortunately they had not yet attached to my liver. The bladder itself was badly inflamed and I was likely to have another serious attack within a month.

Had I not had the surgery done right away, I would have been in mortal danger from the infection. As it is, the Lord guided the surgeon’s hands and he got it all and I should be all but recovered in a week when I have a follow up visit.
