California: The Continuing Tragedy

When government fails in it’s most basic responsibility, it’s a system in collapse. If they folded this bad in a simple wild fire, what will they do when the next Earthquake hits??

  1. What is it with ‘progressives’ that they refuse to accept that the policies they advocate have been tried before with catastrophic consequences? Good forest management practices have shown for decades that they will significantly reduce the risk and damage from wildfires yet they were ignored in favour of ‘Environmental Justice’ bullshit.

The level of delusion is mind boggling.

      • While I don’t think the fires were deliberately planned (given the number of rich Dems and Greenies that lost their home, the fires were a direct result of the policies they espoused. At the most basic level, they are animists and pagans, worshiping the ‘spirits’ in every rock, stream, lake, mountain, or living thing all the while dismissing the worth of human beings.

      • I would be watching very closesly to see what it is built in it’s place.

        • And by whom. The mega billionaires have destroyed the middle classes, now they are raping the mere millionaires. Eventually they will turn on each other, in a dog eats dog kind of way. Popcorn time!

    • The biggest issue I have is that the left/greens are never held accountable for the destruction and deaths their policies have caused.

    • There are a number of very toxic gasses that get emitted by Li-ion battery fires.

For example the electrolyte in a lithium-ion battery is flammable and generally contains lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) or other Li-salts containing fluorine, and the electrodes may contain polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF) as a binder. When ignited these form gases such as hydrogenfluoride (HF), phosphorus pentafluoride (PF5) and phosphoryl fluoride (POF3). Carbon monoxide (CO) and CO2 are also emitted.

With the known difficulty in putting out a Li-ion battery fire this does not look good. I’ll stick with diesel as long as it’s available/I’m allowed to.
