‘TWO Queensland child safety officials have been secretly forced to resign and another two shifted over the suicide of a teenage girl who was under the watch of their agency.
One of the Bligh government’s top bureaucrats made the revelation during a meeting yesterday with the mother of Felicia Goodson, who killed herself within weeks of the suicide of her friend Zoe Gough, who was also supposedly being monitored by Child Safety Services.
The 2009 deaths of the girls from Maryborough, north of Brisbane, have been shrouded in secrecy, amid allegations that police and Child Safety Services failed to act on claims of sexual abuse, depression and self-harm.
……Three investigations, led by Queensland’s Child Death Case Review Committee, were launched without the knowledge or input of the girls’ families and have never been made public.
…..Both families have demanded the reports be released and have called for a reopening of previous coronial inquests into their deaths, held without public hearings or examination…’                     source
