On America as a society of Alphas:
‘…Fortunately, we haven’t lost it yet, despite the multifarious efforts of those who hate individual liberty and its concomitant, individual responsibility. But far too many of our young people are endangered by the propagandization to which the schools, the media, and the celebrity culture subject them daily. Too many have, instead of manly fathers and womanly mothers, lazy wimps who’d willingly subcontract the work of raising them to government institutions and functionaries, and who often do. Too many of them have been persuaded that honesty, sincerity, and the work ethic are for suckers; that everyone’s out to screw everyone else; that there are no absolute standards or admirable qualities; and that athletes and entertainers are the only heroes around. Too many of them have been led to deride those who’ll take a stand for something larger than themselves…’
