A note to our long time regular commenters:

I have no idea why comments under the post “The fundamental right of the accused to remain silent under threat by a police union” have been turned off. It never has been and never will be policy at CR to put up opinions in the form of a post and then disallow comments under that post. If the setting isn’t changed I will remove the post.

Can it be part of not allowing comments to be sent by email?

  2. Pascal says:

I know a blog where you have cross-post privileges.

  3. Kris K says:

I’m sure it’s just an administrative oversight by the author, KG.

  4. Darin says:

Comments were on when it first went up,maybe somebody tripped over the cord on the way out?

  5. Nemesis says:

I have no idea why the comments have been switched off? I have checked the screen and found the comments section as ticked?

      • Nemesis says:

        How?

        • Kris K says:

Rather than just trying to edit the main article, Nemesis, go to “All Posts”, do a “quick edit” on the post concerned, and tick comments on there.

I’ve been mucking around with my own blog and finding out all sorts of WordPress idiosyncracies.

I will remember that. I have been having some funny episodes when typing up posts with wordpress myself. Thanks for fixing what should have been a non-issue. ;-)

  6. KG says:

Comments being closed under a post is very far from being a
    “non-issue” to me.
Thanks for fixing it Kris. Comments are enabled by default, so they should never have been off.

Am I blind, or has it gone anyway, taking the already posted comments with it?

Has Nemesis (been?) decided to rejoin the ex-cops association?

Can’t access the site, posts have disappeared, what is going on?
