Australia: a soft touch, provided you’re not a white Christian, that is..

‘Labor finally deports its very first Afghan asylum seeker in four years:
Mr Mirzajan arrived in Australia by plane in February 2010, having fled Afghanistan in 2001. He first went to Pakistan, then Iran and Greece before seeking refugee status in Britain in 2002. He was refused asylum in 2004 and went to Ireland, where he was allowed to stay temporarily, before travelling to Australia…’      Andrew Bolt

KG, today is Tuesday. This chap is due to be “repatriated” on Saturday. A helluva lot can happen between now and then. Don’t get too excited by this erm, sign of progress. The breadth of this task is huge. After all, 100% improvement in performance over the last half-decade or so, is a really big ask. I am more realistic. Let’s aim to get 50% of this 100% home now, and the other 50% at a later time. Always glad to advise. ;-)

Thanks, Mara. The usual suspects are already jumping up and down in simulated rage..funny, how there always seems to be enough money for lawyers etc for illegal immigrants.
