About ten years ago I was linked into a video of a drive around Detroit’s derelict middle class areas, it was depressing viewing. Another video showed the interior of a derelict theatre, the once grand decor gone sour. I think the links were at Uncle Remus’ place. This has not ben a tale from out’n the hills. Yup, you got it, I’m still cut up a bit, a bit more than a bit as a matter of fact.

Hmmmh the other side to this is whether the locals can be bothered working. In Hawkes Bay NZ the local natives seem to prefer welfare rather than undertaking menial work i.e. fruit-picking. How many of the black jobless of Detroit can’t be bothered? I wager it is many.
