    If the left keep doing things like this, they will push their opponents into doing the same things to them. It never dawns upon the thuggish and stupid that their tactics are not exactly the hardest to copy and return with interest.

            Fortunately here in Australia our police forces aren’t exactly what you’d call “high speed, low drag”.

            What’s more, with copper pay and conditions being pretty abysmal, it wouldn’t take many photos in the mail of them in their civvies to make them reconsider their career choices.

            Most of the ones I’ve met are not what you’d call “motivated”.

    Let me see now? Leaflets for my candidacy (UKIP) start going out tomorrow. They have, by law, my address thereupon. I am a local candidate standing for a local seat (not Parliament), I am well known in my constituency, my kids have long flown the nest (they are pretty well trained anyway so that wouldn’t make a difference) and I live alone in the heart of that constituency where I also have an awful lot of very capable friends.

        Depends upon what you intend to use them in, Wombat. As far as I’m concerned 5.56 is only fit for poodle-plinking, although they will fit several types of weapon of that calibre.
        7.62 NATO is a damned effective round mostly utilised in the FN/SLR variants, the GPMG, the M60 and the M14.
        Sovbloc 7.62 comes in 7.62x54R as used in the 1891/30 Mosin-Nagent and the Chicom RI1968 where 7.62×39 is used in the SKS variants and all AK47 variants.
