  5. You know those electric light maps that show the difference in nighttime glow between North and South Korea?
    That may change soon.

    • Michael in Nelson says:

This reminds me of a random thought I had last week. I was wondering if giving women the right to vote is the reason we have so many security/safety laws given their interest in protecting children? Of course, these laws come at the expense of freedom and liberty.

And massive, infrastructure-paralyzing Chinese immigration. And high fuel and electricity prices as well as high levels of corruption and sheer incompetence in the bureaucracy.
Better not mention the disproportionate influence the maori have on policies, the race-based electoral seats, the theft of Kiwi taxpayer’s property which is being handed to maori – even though the racist maori Party garners less than .5% of the popular vote…..
Oh yeah, a fine example NZ is.

    • Jamie says:

Any chance the pope’s being blackmailed???

      • KG says:

At least he would have an excuse for his idiotic commie/green utterances if he was.

      • mawm says:

“Any chance the pope’s being blackmailed???”

        No.

        • Ronbo says:

          I agree.

He’s a Communist and traitor to the Good Lord.

What the Pope is doing to the Roman Church is far, far worse than what the Viking pagans did to the RCC in the 9th century A.D.

At least the Vikings were an open enemy to Christ and stand up guys in battle with Christian armies – However, the Commie Pope is a slimy little cowardly traitor who sticks a tiny – but sharp very knife – into the back of Christianity.

Oh for the old days – when heretics like him took a long walk down a short pier dressed in chains.

          • Darin says:

No,zero chance he’s being blackmailed. He was/is part of the communist long march through the institutions. In Central and South America there wasn’t a direct avenue into control via the education system like in Europe and North America. Many people simply either didn’t attend school or didn’t go far if they did.Of course the communists gained control of the education systems there were, but it wasn’t enough to do the job.So they infiltrated the Church.
Like I have said more than once,-if it’s a Catholic priest from Central or South America, odds are it’s also a marxist/communist.

    • mawm says:

Is the Pope a Catholic? I know it usually a rhetorical question but apparently there is some concern and a very muted critique of him. “A group of clergy and lay scholars from around the world have taken the very rare step of presenting Pope Francis with a formal ‘filial correction’, accusing him of propagating heresies concerning marriage, the moral life, and reception of the sacraments.”

This is the 6th time that “both clergy and laity have expressed concerns about the Pope’s teaching”. Pope Francis has refused to respond or acknowledge the initiatives.

    • Michael in Nelson says:

Maori out-thought themselves switching party vote to Labour and are left with nothing.

Shame the Greens didn’t go the same way.

      • Warren Tooley says:

Hi Michael in Nelson, I’ll take that as a ‘no’ to having to pay a water tax to Maori.

        • Michael in Nelson says:

It wouldn’t surprise me if they got it anyway. The NZ politicians haven’t got 2 vertebrae amongst the lot much less a full spine.

          • KG says:

http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif Damn right. Neither spine nor principles.

            • Warren Tooley says:

And that was the nature of my question. They’ll probably give something to the Maori to keep them from moaning and groaning. How else did Labour win the Maori seats? Probably by promising them the water tax or something else.

  8. KG says:

    Uniparty politics in NZ:
‘..The political left of the 1970s has seen its agenda, from universal health care to free education become entrenched. Any party advocating a return to personal responsibility is unelectable, as is evidenced by the perpetual struggles faced by ACT. The electorate has completely embraced this philosophy.
National, an intellectually bankrupt outfit driven by its internal polls rather than any political purpose, has picked up on this trend and even the mild market driven reforms of the health and education systems attempted under Bolger have been eschewed by this government.
The fact that the most compelling complaint Labour has been able to land on this government is cow effluent in the river system is an indication of how comprehensively the political Left has been pushed to the fringe as their policies have been enacted.
It may be little solace to the Left on Sunday morning but they should take heart. They may not be in office; but they are in power.’

Susan Rice and the White House didn’t just eavesdrop on the political opposition. There was an agenda so urgent that they were willing to pull out all the stops to protect it.

Even right down to committing what has become the ultimate crime in the White House.

It was the same agenda that dragged us into a war in Libya. The same agenda that was at the heart of the diplomatic efforts of the administration over eight years. That agenda was empowering Islamists.

The Obama edition of Watergate wasn’t committed merely for domestic political gain. It was carried out for a reason that was encompassed in his address to the United Nations after the Benghazi massacre.

    Hi all –

At LAST, some good news from Germany! Ok, evil Merkel was always going to get back in, but for the first time, the Alternative for Germany party will be there too – they won 95 seats! 12.5 percent of the party list vote (92 seats), plus 3 constituency seats.

Would be good to have many more (and it’s still gonna be a helluva battle over there) but at least its a massively-overdue start.

It is great that AfD are “right in the fight” now, as it were. Merkel is in for a BUGGER of a term this time.

The media will try to block them (as usual) but it’ll be a bit more difficult now. AfD supporters will be emboldened too – also groups like Pegida, Gen. Identitaire (I think they have a German branch) and so on.

The Genie of nationalism in the West is out of the bottle – and it may be impossible for the various oligarchies to shove the beast back inside.

  15. Well its going to get interesting, New Zealand First has 10 bottom lines. One of those things is a repeal to the anti smacking bill. It will be interesting to see what happens. Labour introduced it, National continued it and got stricter on parents, and now NZ First has it as its bottom line.

    • KG says:

It could be fun to watch, Warren but the reality is that very little of any import is going to change.
We will still get screwed over, political cronies will still get richer off our taxes and liberties (what’s left of them) will continue to be eroded.

And far fewer (or no) options to run it as a simpler version. It’s no longer possible to delete those applications which aren’t needed which means we no longer own our computers within the accepted meaning of that term.

    • Warren Tooley says:

KG, this is why I have one computer that isn’t in anyway connected or dependent on the internet. I can then take the work I’ve done and put it onto another computer that uses the internet.

      • KG says:

Yep, I do mostly the same, Warren. I have another computer running Linux but sometimes it’s a pain to switch between the two.http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_unsure.gif

        • Warren Tooley says:

Yep know what you mean, so what I would do, with a computer that was connected to the internet, is I would turn off the modem, while working on things, then I would save it onto my flashdrive before turning the modem back on.

But I can’t do that anymore, because people in my apartment are relying on getting WIFI from my modem.
So I understand that its getting harder and harder to be an independent individual unit.

  17. Jamie says:

How oh how will the first world nation of New Zealand ever rebuild the crucial transport link through the Manawatu Gorge?.

My Grandad always told me how the Yanks offered to pay for and build a bridge up the middle of the gorge back in WW2 and NZ turned it down. Unsure on the facts of the matter but sure made for a golly good story.

If the Comunist-China offered that same deal today would New Zealand take it and become a satellite???

Who knows – that’s hard to say.

As far as your big ticket purchase items: Yes, yes, and yes on the caveat that that conveyor may possibly have to be purchased in shorter lengths – that’s a pretty long truck and trailer unit.
Your labour camps and manpower, that will be supplied courtesy of Linton Military Camp, 2nd Land Force Group.

As for the route this callsign is still leaning towards pre-built reinforced concrete semi tunnel trucked to the existing gorge route and fixed in place over the existing road with the dirt/rocks conveyor belted back over the top.

“”””We don’t need to reinvent the wheel – Ian Telfar

There is no need to reinvent the wheel to fix the issue with the ongoing slips that close the gorge.

Let’s take a look at a country like Switzerland that has many roads that go through very mountainous areas.

One of the solutions they have come up with is to install the equivalent of an upside down ‘U’ made from reinforced concrete. This is placed up against the rock face and anchored into place. The gap between this unit and the rock face has drainage holes for the water to escape at the bottom. The gap is backfilled so there is no gap between it and the rock face. When more rock falls down the hillside they land on the overhead reinforced concrete structure, not on the surface of the road. Eventually a natural slope is made and as more rocks fall they will just fall down into the river below. This seems like a relatively straightforward way of stopping slips from closing the road.

Repairs are just a ‘sticking plaster’ – Geoff Win

If it’s true and it comes to pass it may well be the only thing that saves the Republic. Kill ’em all and let God sort the bastards out.
(I have to say, though, if the response were up to me I’d run a purely defensive campaign against antifa scum while using the unrest to go after the enablers of this treason. When politicians and their families start dying, when the Silicon Valley fascists and their families start dying, when the media enablers and propagandists and their families start dying and activist academics and their families start dying, then you’ll see the “uprising” miraculously fizzle out)
So far this crap has been without cost to the enablers and encouragers and until that changes decent people will always being in reactive (losing) mode.

Once again: GMTA (Great Minds Think Alike)

I agree, war brother KG – The Left ASSUMES they can dish out any sort of violence – and the Right will suck it up.

However, a massive insurrection that involves thousands of people, a wave of assassination of police officers, military and fire fighters – would be the “Ft. Sumter Moment” of the CW II (We are in the pre civil war mode already) – and I think Trump would react the same way Lincoln did in 1861, which would be to send in the Regulars and declare martial law due to insurrection.

Under martial law, a massive wave of arrests could be launched against those deemed traitors – and in CW I Lincoln jailed disloyal Congressmen, newspaper editors, politicians, etc. The effect of the federal government doing something like this would drive large parts of the Left into silence, as they would fear arrest. Trump could also open up GITMO to imprison high ranking American traitors. This would send a shiver of fear down the already weak spines of Leftists.

Anyhow, we see thru a glass darkly – but I’m willing to bet that when the body bags of Patriots start being filled, the general public – the silent majority – will demand the rebels be crushed, as they did in 1861.

The scenes that should have been deleted in that movie were the ones concerning the stinking Communist NVA and making them look like decent people!

    • Warren Tooley says:

KG, do you think this has anything to do with the imposition of a fat or sugar tax.
If so it’s high time that we had a constitution which put a limit on all the taxes they may impose, and a death penalty for anyone who violates it. Maybe I’m being too tough, but that’s the only way, or guns.

      • KG says:

I’d love to see a proper constitution, Warren. But we just know it would become just another PC talkfest.

        • Warren Tooley says:

In today’s reality yes. But if we go back to the original US constitution, with the original 10 Amendments/bill of rights, there were only 3 taxes. Property, tariffs and domestic sales tax that’s it.

If we had kept to it, oh how things would be different, when the 14th and 16th Amendments came that was really, really bad. After the 14th got passed they put a direct tax on the people, to guarantee the civil war debt being repaid as stated in sections 1 & 4. The 16th made direct taxes permanent.

Also there is a constitution called the Czech republic constitution. It calls rights inalienable, there’s no room for trading your rights for privileges and has 10 pages worth of rights. Its an ex-socialist republic so that’s why they are strong on rights.

          • KG says:

Well, I like the Czech model, Warren. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_good.gif

          • mawm says:

It depends what is included in the “rights”. Some people get a bit carried away with what are “their” rights.

            • KG says:

Well, that’s true enough. But I doubt the Czechs would be much into – say – LBGT “rights” for example. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_smile.gif

              • Warren Tooley says:

I’ve looked at the Czech republic constitution. It is absolutely incredible. It includes property rights, freedom of speech, freedom of opinion. All of the rights it has it about what government is not allowed to do to you. There are a few exceptions such as a living standard for the poor, and low inflation by the central bank. But it has 10 pages of rights which are in most cases a limit on government.

I know this because of the so called gold confiscation in Europe that they are proposing if you are a terrorist they can confiscate your gold. So that is why I looked at their constitution, and I can assure you they wouldn’t uneless you got a fair trial first.

So KG you do have good instincts, because rights in Czech means what the government can’t do, in most cases.

              • mawm says:

Any constitution that limits what the government can do is good by me. There should also be limits on how much tax they can take and obligations on what they have to spend it such as defence of the country, maintenance of infrastructure, etc.

It should also be inshrined in the constitution that no politician should be allowed to get wealthy from being in government or use taxpayer funded bribes to get elected. They should also be compelled to face the full force of the law (and more?) for any criminal act. http://falfn.com/CrusaderRabbit/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_mail.gif

    http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-alabama-senate-aftermath-20170927-story.html

Clearly the Left STILL does not understand Revolution 2.0 that has been going on since 2009 – and as I said before – Trump did not create the Revolution – it was the other way around.

The same thing happened in Revolution 1.0 which had been on since 1760 in colonial America. Washington did not create this insurrection – the Revolution accepted Washington’s leadership when offered in 1775.

Washington understood this fact. In 1782 in New York state when the U.S. Army senior officers wanted Washington to become king of the United States, he turned down the offer with hardly a thought because he knew this was unacceptable to the Base who selected him as leader.

Therefore, what happened in Alabama is no mystery to 2.0 Revolutionists (or the Tea Party Revolution, take your pick) such as me – The candidate that Trump backed lost the primary election because he did not support Revolution 2.o and the Trump Base voted in mass for the dark horse candidate who was all in for the Tea Party Revolution.

I think Trump has learned his lesson during this election, as Washington discovered during Revolution 1.0 – You are the leader of the Revolution only as long as stay on the reservation.

  25. Warren Tooley says:

More good news, Trump’s tax plan. First few thousand you earn, 0% tax, after that 12% tax, then 24% tax, then 35% tax and a lower tax on companies. And how will this be funded? The constitution says a state tax on domestic made goods, property tax and tariff taxes.

Other countries have tariffs on the American exporter, so why shouldn’t America have a tax on those that export to America. Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge lowered the top rate of tax from 73% to 24%, in 5 years time, but had to raise the tariff tax to achieve that, and we had the roaring 20s afterwards. Maybe it’s time for another roaring 2010’s-20’s.

Also just a note, if other countries were to say we’ll have no tariffs if you have no tariffs, Trump could simply have a National Sales tax instead of a tariff tax, and the no tariffs from other nations would help the American exporter.
