      Excellent movie! The first overseas deployment for those Irish troops – and the first time in combat against some of the best mercs in Africa and without heavy weapons – just rifles and a few machine guns – but they held the line – and suffered very few casualties. Like your Irish policeman, an Irish soldier is the best trooper in the world. It’s in the DNA.         Yes. The police barricades created a bigger problem than the thugs. I walked rather than rode to my destination. Another guy who was supposed to meet us wound up in a traffic jam about 5 blocks away. Had he told us that he was moving his car we’d have warned him on the alternate 3 minute route. He wound up parking his car at the first open parking lot he could find on the far side of the mess, then had to walk through the mess to get to us 45 minutes late. I suspect 2000 is an over estimate. Like I said, more cops than thugs. Well, it’s at least something given how Sinister our city hall cadre is.
