What gets me is the lack of understanding of natural processes by the Dutch bureaucrats. With a lack of predators, populations expand beyond carrying capacity and there is eventually s massive die-off until the population adjusts to the new (much lower) capacity. This happened with deer on the North Rim of the Grand canyon decades ago when the large predators were wiped out (a case study in most animal behaviour classes at university).

Whole Foods fills a niche market,it caters to upper middle class and working wealthy.They have very high quality products and generally offer a lot of service,custom meat cutting,wine selection and tasting guides etc.They are also expensive,2/3 of the population won’t shop there due to cost.If you are an established doctor or lawyer here,this is where your maid does groceries.
I don’t know how their 365 concept is working,or if it will work.The low to middle tier grocery business in the US is very compeditive and there are a lot of players,some national and many local chains.Prices are generally %30-50 more at a WF than the everyday chain stores.Food has always been very cheap in the US compared to the rest of the world and generally stores will compete for business until they reach their cost floor at which point they will offer things like increased selection to pull in more business.
Locally we had two national/large regional chains in town-Walmart and Winn Dixie.Winn Dixie just filed for bankrupcy and sold off a bunch of stores to smaller regional players.Walmart is feeling the heat from Amazon for everything,except groceries and Amazon has announced plans to get into that markets as well,so that should get interesting.Bigger ships than WF have been sunk trying to compete in that market.

Once there was a supermarket chain called Schwegmann’s.It was started as a mom and pop traditional corner market.After WWII John Schwegmann decided that the gocery business need a change so he basically came up with the first supermarket.Prior to that when you went to the grocery you gave a clerk your shopping list and the clerk would fetch the items you wanted off the shelf and bring them to you for checkout. Schwegmann built one of the first large stores with isles between shelves that was self serve.
But he didn’t stop there,he was also a conservative democrat back when those still existed,today he would be called a conservative republican.He worked to bust price controls and taxes and was successful in having several unconstitutional and anti-capitalist laws repealed.
His concept of a supermarket was offering the greatest selection of items,of the best quality for the best price.He also believed in convienience.At the height of their success many of his stores featured a Bar inside the front door,so the men had somewhere to hangout while the women did the groceries.They also had a bank/credit union inside so you could do your banking there,they also had barbers and even dentists offices in some stores.Truly a one stop shop.
The average store was 100,000 square feet plus and they carried literally everything including bait and tackle and sporting goods.
One of my earliest memories was going Crab fishing with my grandfather.We would go out early Saturday morning,pickup the traps he set the night before,pick out the take,rebait them and set them back to run them again Sunday morning.We would stop by Schwegmann’s on the way home to pickup grandma’s shopping list and get more bait.The butcher shop sold chicken wings and necks for $.20/lb we would buy them and toss them in a bucket in his backyard with a lid on it so they could sit there all week and get good and ripe for Crab bait.
If we didn’t catch enough Crabs we would go to the fresh fish market in the store and bring home either Speckled Trout or Red Fish fillets for dinner which IIRC only cost $.45/lb back then.
Sadly when Mr Schwegmann died his son decided to make a play in the discount grocery market and bet the farm on a couple smaller local chains that had filed bankrupcy.Eventually that decision killed the business and Schwegmann’s was no more.There was a reason those stores had gone broke.

They attacked a singer by the name of Bruno Mars for appropriating black culture with his music – he is a Filipino (and mixed I think), he should stick with his own kind and do his own peoples thing is the message I got from blacks over that issue… so the message I am getting is that blacks need to stick with their own kind and do black people things like constantly voting Democrat so they can continue to live their poor ghetto victim lives and blame the whites for keeping him down – when it is the liberal left that needs them to stay in the ghetto and be victims so that the Left can have a cause to fight for – that is the message I am reading, and the white man needs to just leave everyone else’s stuff alone.

What the SJWs can’t stand is knowing that the majority of white people don’t give a damn about the colour of someone’s skin, they judge people by their integrity and their actions and their ability to do the job. I, as a Mexican in the States don’t know any Hispanics and Latin Americans who did not vote for Trump and do not Support Trump, even in Mexico the only problem I see that People have with Trump is the fact that the criminals are returning to Mexico… but the press wants to cause a riff with in the Latin community in the states for supporting conservative views, when the majority of Hispanics and Latin Americans are conservative – but illegals will always take full advantage of whatever their host countries are willing to give away, no matter where in the world they are.
The media is a big part of the problem – sensationalizing stories and creating drama where there is none and creating villains out of good people for their beliefs and the simple desire of wanting to preserve their culture and traditions – how did that become evil?
I have worked with people from all over the world, of many cultures and skin colors and religion and never had a problem, though we all had our differences like you said in your statement, we got along with out problems, but now days, you just don’t know who is going to freak out over what you say and go on a rampage… but for the most part I do see people making an effort to carry on as we did before the media told us there was a problem.
