Thomas Jefferson:

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.”

Gun Violence Research and the Facts vs. The New York Times

John Lott: (Author of ‘More Guns, Less Crime’)
‘..Of all the multiple victim shootings around the country in public schools, the Appalachian Law School, on city streets, churches, or in malls that have been stopped law-abiding citizens with concealed handguns, none, not a single one has resulted in innocent bystanders being shot. Indeed, rarely do the citizens with the concealed handguns actually pull the trigger, simply brandishing the gun stops the attack. Permit holders do not endanger others…’

what the HELL is going on?

Mum raped by seven as her kids slept nearby
A GROUP of young males trapped a 21-year-old woman in her laundry before raping her while her children slept nearby, a court has heard.
The seven males, aged between 14 and 21 and who came to Australia as refugees from Sudan or Afghanistan, yesterday applied for bail in the Bendigo Magistrates’ and Children’s courts.
Constable Reed said the victim was “extremely fearful” for her safety and her children if the men received bail…’

So far. pretty ordinary, right? Just another gang of freshly imported primitive thugs doing what they so often do. But here’s the wtf! moment:

Bail was granted for Mr Gar, Mr El Nour and Mr Manon, while the 17-year-old, 14-year-old and Mr Zaoli have been remanded to appear again next week.

Save some of that hemp rope for our judges.

If the”justice” system cannot or will not protect the vulnerable, if weak-kneed, lily-livered elitist assholes who presume to sit in judgement on us don’t have the balls to stand up to the multiculti pieties of the day and insist that justice be done, then it’s time a few of them were hanged as an encouragement to the rest. With the salary, the prestige and the power comes great responsibility. And great consequences should –must-follow from failing to live up to that.

Warmies nailed:

When warmists start describing these rains which they didn’t predict as the “extreme events” which they actually did, we see how a trick of language or definitions makes their theory unfalsifiable. “Extreme events” becomes the label that’s stuck on anything that doesn’t fit with what was predicted, to make it the exception that was predicted. And so no matter what happens, the warmist is always right…’             Andrew Bolt

The death of self-reliance–and self-respect.

This is a small town, with a predominantly Aboriginal population. Not all of them are locals, some have come here to live from other places.
Many have jobs, or more accurately, “jobs”–taxpayer-funded make work schemes and projects, and that arrangement seems to work well enough when compared to Aboriginal communities.
But here’s the rub…..these people have grown used to handing over responsibility for almost all aspects of their lives to “the gummint”, and by extension to the white people who run essential services. Decisions and responsibilities which most of us would regard as routine and trivial are offloaded, and offloaded not because they’re beyond them, but out of taught laziness.

whodathunkit? Another socialist success story…

‘Clarence Dupnik, extraordinary and courageous law enforcement officer, personally congratulated by our president. That’s the portrait of the Pima County sheriff who has become a hero to the national media by blaming the Tucson Safeway massacre on, among others, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and the Tea Party.
……But a trip to the Uniform Crime Reports database of the FBI tells a different story. Forget the boosterish statistics reported by Dupnik on his taxpayer-financed website.  Forget the media applause. They bear as much relation to reality — crime on the ground — as the deliberately altered statistics offered by climate researchers to prove global warming. Although the county has had reporting problems (the Sheriff is a remarkably sloppy administrator), the FBI has enough data to allow us to come to this conclusion: The citizens of Pima County are up to their necks in crime, especially when compared to neighboring Maricopa County. Thirty years of hyper-partisan Democrat-led law enforcement have resulted in the highest crime rates in Arizona. The citizen who lives in Pima County, compared to media-reviled Joe Arpaio’s territory just next door, will have almost three times the chance of being murdered; is more than seven times as likely to be raped; is more than six times as likely to be assaulted; and more than seven times as likely to have experienced a property crime such as burglary, arson or car theft.’       source

Well, lookee here!

‘A SECRET report by scientific and engineering experts warned of significantly greater risks of vast destruction from Brisbane River flooding – and raised grave concerns with the Queensland government and the city’s council a decade ago.
But the recommendations in the report for radical changes in planning strategy, emergency plans and transparency about the true flood levels for Brisbane were rejected and the report was covered up.
The comprehensive 1999 Brisbane River Flood Study made alarming findings about predicted devastation to tens of thousands of flood-prone properties, which were given the green light for residential development since the 1974 flood. The engineers and hydrologists involved in the study warned that the next major flood in Brisbane would be between 1m and 2m higher than anticipated by the Brisbane town plan.
The study highlighted how the council had permitted the development of thousands of properties whose owners were led to believe they would be out of harm’s way in a flood on the scale of 1974.’
