Justice Department–Erich Von Holder’s poodle.

‘Eric Holder’s Justice Department has even politicized compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. According to documents I have obtained, FOIA requests from liberals or politically connected civil rights groups are often given same day turn-around by the DOJ. But requests from conservatives or Republicans face long delays, if they are fulfilled at all.

The documents show a pattern of politicized compliance within the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. In particular, I have obtained FOIA logs that demonstrate as of August 2010, the most transparent administration in history is anything but. The logs provide the index number of the information request, the date of the request, the requestor, and the date of compliance…’     source

‘The ‘jungle drums’ zealot:

Chilling inside story of how one woman seized on an innocent phrase and sparked a politically correct witch-hunt

Anna Farquhar has spent most of her life helping others — first as a nurse, then running a branch of St John Ambulance, a job she performed with distinction for more than 20 years. When she retired, she took up voluntary work with the armed services charity Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).

……But today, the ‘thoroughly decent’ Mrs Farquhar (not our words, but those of her colleagues) is a near-broken woman after being publicly vilified and humiliated.
What happened to her is not just a personal tragedy for Mrs Farquhar, but also an indictment of the kind of society we have now become, where the pernicious culture of political correctness holds sway and common sense has all but disappeared……’

Read the rest, if you can bear to–it just gets worse. And worse.

Gillard and the Lefty Gang–a massive failure:

‘….We’re now familiar with the amazing litany of programs Labor has proposed and then junked in just three years in power.
Count them: FuelWatch, Grocery Watch, free insulation, cash-for-clunkers, solar energy rebates, the green loans scheme, the original mining super profits tax, the green car scheme, an emissions trading scheme by 2011, a takeover of public hospitals if no funding agreement by 2009, and more.
Then there’s the failures: the Building the Education Revolution (BER) rorts, the free computer delays, the superclinic delays and their doctorless-services, the phantom East Timor detention centre, the explosion of boat people arrivals after the “reform” of the Howard government’s laws, Rudd’s dead-on-arrival new Asia forum, “co-operative federalism”, the soccer World Cup bid … well, I won’t go on.
Name any government that failed so often so fast.
Now name one success Gillard has racked up in the eight months she has been Prime Minister. It’s easier to predict her next likely failure.
This is beyond astonishing. The only thing to rival it is the apparent belief of so many voters and commentators that these are mere hiccups, and something better can be expected from Labor soon.’

‘Us Weekly’ uses fake Sarah Palin quotes:

‘Us Weekly ran a story quoting Sarah Palin demanding that Christina Aguilera be “deported” over her botched performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl XLV.
The only problem: It never happened.
The item “quoted” Palin trashing Aguilera as “a demanding beauty queen who’s clearly in over her head” and adding for good measure, “If I were president, I’d deport Ms. Augilera back to wherever it is she’s from and give Amy Smart a call.”
The fake quotes originated from an Onion-like satirical web site, relaying a fictional radio interview between the former Governor of Alaska and Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Other choice “quotes” from Palin that fooled Us Weekly included, “Here’s another case of an airhead diva going on TV, running her mouth off, sounding like a fool. She doesn’t understand something so basic about America, yet we’re supposed to tolerate her diva behavior?” and “Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language?”
Us Weekly apologized for their mistake Thursday saying, “Oopsies…our bad!” ‘            source

“fooled” the Weekly?  Somehow, I doubt it.

Jaw-dropping incompetence from another Obama appointee:

‘The Obama administration took the rare step Thursday of correcting its own intelligence chief after the official claimed Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is “largely secular.”
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper discussed the Islamist group during a hearing on Capitol Hill earlier Thursday. He testified that the organization has “pursued social ends” and a “betterment of the political order,” and downplayed its religious underpinnings….’

Not a tax..it’s “an expression of goodwill”!

‘THE Federal Government’s $1.8 billion flood levy has been thrown into doubt after independent Tony Windsor yesterday said the money could be raised by budget cuts.
Mr Windsor said the baby bonus and other “middle-class welfare” could be axed to help rebuild Queensland.
Other independents Rob Oakeshott and Andrew Wilkie and Greens MP Adam Bandt yesterday called for the Government to drop plans to cut climate programs and instead shave money from defence to fund the flood repairs.

Ms Gillard said the levy was a crucial part of the Federal Government’s plan to spend $5.6 billion rebuilding shattered communities in Queensland.
“This is not just a routine piece of legislation . . . but an expression of goodwill between Australians,” she told Parliament.                              source
