The latest Woodpile Report is up.

HERE.  Excerpt:
Trained professionals – A November car chase ended in a “full blown-out” firefight, with glass and bullets flying, according to Cleveland police officers who described for investigators the chaotic scene at the end of the deadly 25-minute pursuit. But when the smoky haze—caused by rapid fire of nearly 140 bullets in less than 30 seconds—dissipated, it soon became clear that more than a dozen officers had been firing at one another across a middle school parking lot, says Rachel Dissell at The Cleveland Plain Dealer.’
Also, many companies are refusing to sell products to State and Federal law-enforcement agencies until restrictions on private citizens owning the same items are lifted. This confirms Wabbit’s belief that there’s a gloriously stubborn, anti-government streak in Americans we could all learn from.

HUH?

‘READING, maths and science are at risk of being over-emphasised under the Gillard government’s drive to lift education standards, the primary school principals association has warned.
In their submission to the House of Representatives inquiry into the Australian Education Bill, the principals also question whether the three core subjects will be considered important by the international community in 12 years’ time…’
(Via The Australian, subscription required)  Wabbit will try to get more details about the submission and post them here.

FFS!

Harden up. In the real world, where companies and their workers are measured by productivity, these things happen all the time and are a normal part of a person’s working life. I’m sure the teachers will find other students to indoctrinate. Unfortunately.

Australia’s ABC..taxpayer-funded liars and propagandists.

‘Number of weeks since Nice Mr Scott promised greater diversity on the ABC …  Total:  331 Weeks
Number of conservative presenters/producers/paid regular commentators/editors on prominent ABC Radio/ABC TV/ABC Online outlets …  Total: Absolutely Zip…..’                       source
This lefty propaganda factory enjoys almost saturation coverage of television and radio channels, has very numerous retail outlets which peddle propaganda and effectively competes with commercial stations, but with the overwhelming advantage of having endless taxpayer’s money to do it with.
Any politician who has the balls to shut down this vast cesspit would in one stroke do more for democracy in Australia than any other single action could.

Privacy is so…yesterday.

‘LOCAL councils are seizing data from residents’ mobile phones without warrants to chase unregistered pets, illegal rubbish dumping and unauthorised advertising.
Federal surveillance laws enable enforcement agencies — such as police, corruption watchdogs and the Australian Taxation Office — to seize telecommunications data to conduct criminal investigations, enforce fines or protect public revenue. But the laws are increasingly being used by other public bodies, such as local governments and Australia Post, which have collectively made more than 800 self-authorisations for personal data in the past three financial years.
…….Labor is supporting a controversial plan to force telcos to store telecommunications data for up to two years as a defence against organised crime and terrorism…’
Yeah, “organised crime and terrorism”. Sure. Unregistered pets (having to register them is an effing outrage in itself) illegal rubbish dumping and illegal advertising obviously fall into those categories…… and the bulk of the apathetic population continues to enable the slide into slavery, unaware or uncaring.
