Got to keep the propaganda coming, after all….

NZ:  ‘..Up to 60,000 disadvantaged television viewers may be provided with digital set-top boxes paid for by the Government so they can continue watching television when analogue transmissions are shut next year and in 2013, an official says…’        source

This, from a supposed alternative to socialist Labour! How exactly is “disadvantaged” defined? And a note to the clown “reporter”–this handout will be paid for by THE TAXPAYER!   Not the government.

Think of it as the Government making sure their propaganda outlet is not disrupted.

Which is of course what you said now that I see the whole post again.

    Worked on me!

Yep, more theft, corruption and continued propaganda programmes by Traitor Key and his band of Marxist thieves.

Rope, noose, a long drop followed by a short wait.

These communist numpties can’t even be a little creative with their rorts! This program is an exact copy of a Gillard government program proposed back in May, where disadvantaged people would be provided with a taxpayer-funded (“free”) decoder. Of course the decoder would come complete with a government-certified installer who would plug in the 3 wires required to make the damn thing run (the decoder, not the disadvantaged person), and then give the disadvantaged person instructions on how to use it (the decoder, not the installer).

The cost? AU$300 per unit. At a time when a SD set-top box could be found pretty much anywhere (including the local Coles and Safeway) for $30, or an entire new TV purchased from Dick Smith for $229.

Bolt said in the link above: “Nothing better illustrates all this Government’s worst faults – its craven populism, its instinctive Big Government response to a non-problem, its utter failure to think things through, its reckless use of taxpayers’ money.”

I wonder, friends, does that description apply equally to New Zealand’s SocialistConservativeLiberal National Party government?

Digital TV works both ways. You see TV, and they ( government) know what channel you’re watching. Call it Big Brother is Watching you .But I assume that they told you it is for the better picture quality.
