‘Joshua Waddell, a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marines, appeared on his way to a stellar career as an American military officer. The son of a retired Navy SEAL commander, Waddell was awarded a Bronze Star during his first tour of duty in Afghanistan and had returned for a second.
Then he made a decision in combat that military experts say has severely jeopardized his future in the corps.
He ordered snipers to disable a tractor!
A Marine stationed in Afghanistan who does not know Waddell, but who has operated under the same rules, said, “The rules of engagement are meant to placate [President Hamid] Karzai’s government at our expense. They say it’s about winning the hearts and minds, but it’s not working. We’re not putting fear into the enemy, only our troops.”

      Okay,so the British Navy couldn’t put a single aircraft carrier to sea for Libiya.They are going to slash combat troops and pilots instead of desk jockeys.And 10 to 1 those they slash will be white, male and experienced so they can retain their “diversity”.

      I would laugh,except we are going to be in the same condition shortly.

      Yeah, heard about that too, KG.
      Just when we see increasing global unrest and rampant Islamic terrorist activity we in the West are REDUCING our front-line military personnel. We really do have a death wish – in more ways than one.

    Another brilliant operation conducted by US special forces,this time in Somalia to rescue an American hostage. No kidnappers survived the assault(happily,and there are no reports of friendly casualties).
    Then there was the marvellous op to take out bin Laden and prior to that some pirates were killed at sea in another op. All good.

    President Obama gets the personal credit for all of the above from his spin doctors and an unquestioning world media.

    In the meantime back on the frontline ,ordinary soldiers doing their difficult duty ,with their hands tied behind their backs are being hung out to dry. And the Commander in Chief is doing a great job by not looking out for them or their interests.

    I wouldn’t risk a single soldier’s life to rescue aid workers. If they don’t have the brains to stay out of third-world shit holes then they deserve whatever happens to them.
    Most of the ones I’ve met have been sanctimonious pacifist lefties who wouldn’t ordinarily give the military the time of day.
