‘..The law, which is being pushed under the guise of an anti-bullying campaign, would mean that anything communicated or published online that was deemed to be “offensive” by the state, including editorials, illustrations, and even satire could be criminally punished…’

According to the article, there’s a push to have Gov. brewer refuse to sign the bill. Even if she does, I wonder if there isn’t a First Amendment issue that can be taken to the SCOTUS?

Well, it could be, but in the meantime it will have a strong chilling effect on free speech. People will tend to self-censor because they can’t afford the time, expense and hassle of fighting every other word or sentence in a court of law.
All kinds of liberties are being curtailed right now, by regulation and bureaucratic fiat – if not by law – and it’s impossible to regain them because the courts themselves have become corrupt accomplices of the tyrants.

Damn right. Did you catch any of the sound bites from the Obamacare SC hearings? Kagan and Ginsberg forgot their role is to adjudicate, they were so busy trying to advocate. And even if they clint win on the advocate, they’re gonna try and replace Congress and legislate.

        Adjudicate
        Advocate
        Legislate

Pick one, because you can’t do more. Who the hell elevated these farking radicals to the SC in the first pace? Oh … Never mind. :censor

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

    • KG says:

We’ll just have to find other ways of spreading the word, Elijah. The Russian people developed Samizdat publishing and maybe we’ll have to, as well.

Also from Az: the only child to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance is mocked and bullied.

No, but Wratty, it’s the religion of peace! It’s all those awful Presbyterians, and Catholics and Hindus that cause all the trouble (they force the Moslems to cut off their heads because they refuse to convert and the prophet – may the fleas of a thousand camels infest his armpits – commands it!
