Yet another brave young maori warrior:

‘The identity of the man accused of stabbing 95-year-old war veteran Albert Chant in the head in an attack that severed an artery and nerve has been revealed.
Chant’s neighbour, Jacob Komene, 20, has been charged with entering a building with intent to commit a crime while armed with a knife, and wounding Chant with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was also charged with breaching his release conditions…’

    Can we charge him with:

    Murder
    Being a Savage
    Stupidity
    Living off of the taxpayer

I’m sure everyone else can think of more.

    Theft of oxygen!

  3. Brian Smaller says:

Was he seriously expecting that he would need a knife to confront the old man he KNEW lived in the house? There have been a lot of cowardly attacks but this one takes the cake.

It just leaves me shaking my head, Brian.

Now being positive and constructive here … what say he were to “accidently” fall over and become deadish and so have all his organs harvested for donation to decent people on the waiting list; by way of an apology for having been born. Win/win situation. Tidy? :popcorn

Ciaron, I knew someone would say that. And you may be right. But 18 years ago my old fella was dying of heart failure waiting for a new heart. When one came available after a 9 month wait we didn’t need to know whose it was, even if they would tell. This same old fella is on top of a ladder as we speak, washing a ceiling prior to painting. He thinks he’s earning, ahem, brownie points. :whoop

Not sure where you’re based mara, but here in Godzone “old fella” means, ahem, something else. But good on you and your old fella.

Did I mention the heart donor who, 6 months later, went jogging with the recipient of his heart? Here’s a clue: lungs.

It could be the “warrior gene”..Lets remember that 35% of Maori have this gene so it may not be his fault it could be god given genetics…

jonno1. So then it would be correct English to say “The old chap has an old fella?”  Cheeky fellow!
